The Best Team Comps for Tingyun in Honkai: Star Rail

Tingyun in Honkai: Star Rail is considered one of the most useful 4-Star rarity characters. She is very versatile and used on many teams needing Attack and Energy Regeneration support. Tingyun also deals decent damage, especially when she activates her buffs. Now that she is more obtainable through Jing Yuan’s Event Warp Banner consider using her on any team.

As a Harmony Path character in Honkai: Star Rail, Tingyun is all about buffing her allies which suits her personality due to her passive presence in the main character’s storyline on The Xianzhou Luofu. Furthermore, she is of the Lightning Element and can also give her allies Lightning Damage included in their attacks. This means that taking down an enemy’s toughness is easier as long as they are weak to Lightning, like many of the robotic creatures in the game. Finally, she doesn’t take very many Skill points as her Skill’s effects last for three turns, actively gaining back more than she used.

Dan Heng

Tingyun

Natasha

March 7th/Asta

Tingyun’s role in Honkai: Star Rail is to support the main damage character, such as Dan Heng, on this free-to-play team. Dan Heng’s damage now will be supported with an Attack and Damage buff with his Energy regenerated in a pinch by utilizing Tingyun’s Ultimate. Ideally, with this team, Tingyun will back up Dan Heng, but if needed can also regenerate Natasha’s Ultimate healing buff for emergencies. As a final slot to this team, players can use another support character like March 7th to provide shields or Asta to buff everyone even further with their Speed for priority actions in a single turn.

Hyper Offensive Team For Tingyun

Pela/Welt

Natasha/Bailu OR Gepard

Tingyun shines on a team where she can support a hyper-carry attacker like Seele. In addition, she can help regenerate her Ultimate, where if Seele defeats an enemy can trigger another turn to attack. Alongside the Harmony and the Hunt, a Nihility character like Pela or Welt, which lowers an enemy’s defenses, makes it easier to one-hit-knock out. As a final slot on this team, consider survivability by using either a Preservation Path character, like some of the best Gepard builds in Honkai: Star Rail, or Abundance characters, like Bailu or Natasha.

Serval

When compiling a mono-Lightning team, Tingyun is a must-have. Paired against enemies that are weak to Lightning Damage, this team thrives. Consider making Jing Yuan the main damage dealer of the team supported exclusively by Tingyun. Make sure to inflict damage over time with Serval’s initial Shock damage and have it grow with the other members of the team who use Lightning Elemental moves. Finally, Bailu, one of the best supporting characters in Honkai: Star Rail, is also of the Lightning Element.
