The NBA Playoffs were good enough to bring about yet another instant classic last night, still being hotly discussed throughout the day on social media. NBA on TNT gave a call-out post after the game, where they called this tussle an affair between ‘two all-time greats’ and showed popcorn emoji glory for the drama. And honestly? They weren’t wrong. A proper back-and-forth was hell for eyeballs everywhere. But the real drama? Twitter replies.

What could we possibly call the main event? Kawhi Leonard and Nikola Jokic told fight tales as though they were heavyweight boxing bouts. Kawhi dropped the ball with crazy shots, including the killer punch that sealed the deal late; how would Jokic go with his business: ‘How is this guy so good at everything?’ TNT was hyping up, the crowd was hot, social media… man, social media was a war zone.
OneChillChad tweeted, “Vintage Kawhi > The Joker”, probably encapsulating the mood shared by numerous Clippers fans. JW Jason chimed in with Kawhi’s efficiency being genuinely scary, which…yeah, that is true. Once he shows up, Playoff Kawhi is a terrifying well-oiled machine designed to take apart defenses. Even those anonymous ones went hard on the analyzing and claiming Kawhi was in his own universe relative to Jokic, Jamal Murray, and even James Harden. Maybe a tad harsh? But the numbers don’t lie.
Team Jokić hits back. BRONCİC ERA (pray tell why are the caps?) kept it short and sweet with ‘Klaw better Joker.’ No elaboration, just pure confidence. Guy dude_mma, on the other hand, stated, ‘nobody playing at a high level like these 2 in the playoffs,’ which is fair enough. Both of these guys went absolutely bonkers, and deciding which one to flow for in this debate is like picking between pizza and tacos. Why not both?
Not even the game was free from the Toronto families. KC had thoughts on the TNT broadcast, tweeting: ‘Fire the TNT broadcast cameraman. Atrocious and unnecessary close up zoom during near ending of 3rd quarter.’ Oof. Someone isn’t receiving a Christmas card from the production crew. Then there was James J. with more focus on the fashion: ‘Chucks suit tonight is 🔥🔥🔥 I’d love to know who makes it!’ Priorities, my man.
And of course, no NBA Twitter moment is complete without a dab of good-old random chaos. Ari Gold and Just Derty caught Shaq sneaking off to the bathroom mid-show, barraging the Internet with jokes. “‘Shaq sneaky going to the bathroom like he’s about to drop the hottest mixtape of 2025,” says HenryCh. Then Sports Potato chimed in with a Russell Westbrook clip, captioning it with, “And then there’s Russ” because…well, you know.
Long story short, the match reminded everyone why playoff basketball just hits different. LEOvsSOL truly said it best: “bro, playoff basketball hits different.” True, no lies detected. The intensity, the drama, the clutch shots- chef’s kiss. And even with more games to come in this series, this argument is standing ground!

So who was the number one winner of that night? Kawhi worshippers? Jokic believers? The guy obsessed with Chuck’s suit? Truth be told, everybody.Probably everyone except that cameraman-well, except such scorn during NBA playoffs, everyone wins. That cameraman is probably getting it the worst.
