In 2024, Disney+ will be the scene of a long parade of shows related to Star Wars, but there is no doubt that The Acolyte is one of the most notable. Through Collider, it was confirmed that the series, which is set 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, will arrive in the service’s catalog in the summer of this year. Collider has now reported that the tentative release date for the series will be June 5, 2024.

Jude Law in Star Wars Skeleton Crew : Star Wars The Acolyte

The Acolyte will be just one of the many shows that fans will be able to enjoy on the Disney+ screen this year. In addition to this series, there is another new story that will land in the streaming service’s catalog, Skeleton Crew. Starring Jude Law, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Robert Timothy Smith, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Jaleel White, the series will follow the adventures of four children trying to discover their place in the universe, while searching for their way back home.

2024 will also be a good year for the animated format in the Star Wars universe. In addition to the premiere of a new production for children (Young Jedi Adventures), one of the best series of the franchise in recent years, The Bad Batch, will also return with its third and final season. Created by Dave Filoni, The Bad Batch follows the adventures of Clone Force 99, a group of elite troopers in charge of mercenary missions of all kinds.

And last, but definitely not least, the second and final installment of Andor, the prequel to the acclaimed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, was also expected to be released this year. But, unfortunately, that may not be the case. However, since shooting for the new episodes ended just a few days ago, the show could be ready to hit the screen in early 2025. In the second season, Diego Luna returns alongside Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, among others, for one last adventure that will take Cassian towards the events of the 2016 film and his tragic but heroic destiny.
