Anime Releasing in March 2024

This year looks highly promising for anime enthusiasts, especially with so many sequels on the way, including One-Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and Konosuba. Furthermore, some of the most anticipated anime adaptations, such as Solo Leveling, began this year, albeit the weekly wait has become tiresome for many people.

Having said that, anime fans always look forward to seeing something new every month, and we’ve already witnessed the releases of several exciting anime shows in February 2024, including Ninja Kamui, Ancient Lords, and Blader Soul. With a much-anticipated OVA and a special episode slated to be released the following month, things appear to remain pretty much the same. To that end, here is the list of every anime series coming out in March 2024.

Ninja Kamui

Ninja Kamui is an unpopular series that premiered in February, but it had a strong start, with the initial episodes being highly action-oriented and not shying away from the gorefest. Despite its traditional premise of a protagonist seeking vengeance on those who murdered their family, Ninja Kamui has immense potential, which will be determined by how the following episodes perform.

Since the episodes are only released weekly on Adult Swim, there is plenty of time for you to catch up. It tells the story of Joe Higan, a skilled former ninja who fled the Kamui clan to live peacefully with his family in rural America. However, the vicious organization perceives it as a betrayal and sends assassins to slaughter him and his entire family, but Joe survives the ordeal.

Heartbroken and filled with hatred, he turns into a ninja once again, but this time, he uses the deadly skills he learned from the organization against it. Nonetheless, his path of retribution is anything but easy, with fierce enemies wielding high-tech weaponry and ninjas far stronger than him. Ninja Kamui airs every Sunday on Adult Swim.

Paripi Koumei: Road to Summer Sonia

Paripi Koumei is a 12-episode anime series based on a webcomic that premiered in 2022. Although the anime has received a positive response from many viewers, if you’re looking for an alternative, a new special episode summarizing the whole series will be released on Mar. 1. While the episode is unlikely to include every scene from the anime, it will cover all the series’ most effective characters and plotlines.

The story revolves around Zhuge Kongming, one of Ancient China’s greatest tacticians during the Three Kingdoms period, who reincarnates into the modern world after dying in a war. To his amazement, he finds that his memories are intact and navigates the modern world in his own way, eventually learning a lot about the past and present. Paripi Koumei: Road to Summer Sonia premieres on Mar. 1.

Ensemble Stars!! Tsuioku Selection Checkmate

Ensemble Stars!, the popular idol anime, was released almost four years ago, but its fans have never outgrown the characters introduced in the series. If you’re one of them hoping for a sequel, you’re in luck because an ONA (Original Net Animation) series will premiere shortly.

The new anime series, Ensemble Stars!! Tsuioku Selection Checkmate is based on a game called “Checkmate.” The series will continue to chronicle Trickstar’s daily adventures as Anzu assists them in revolutionizing the academy the way they always wanted to. The new ONA series will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll on Mar. 10.

My Happy Marriage OVA

It is always a surprise when one of our favorite anime series receives an OVA (Original Video Animation) treatment since even if the story is over, these episodes take a lighthearted approach to the characters’ lives. My Happy Marriage is a historical romance anime that was an instant success when it debuted in 2023. Although the new OVA only has one episode, many fans look forward to seeing it when it comes out.

Until then, My Happy Marriage OVA will premiere on Netflix on Mar. 15.
