At the beginning of the year, TD released a new round of offers for its suite of TD Rewards credit cards.
As a reminder, there’s an excellent offer available on the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card, which is set to expire on March 4, 2024.
Be sure to give this record-high offer a look, as it’s set to end soon!
TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card: Up to 135,000 TD Rewards Points†
The current welcome bonus on the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card is for up to 135,000 TD Rewards Points,† which is up from the previous offer of 115,000 points and matches the all-time-high offer on the card.
You’ll also enjoy an annual fee rebate for the first year,† which means you can test drive the card without any out-of-pocket expenses in year one.
To earn the full welcome bonus, you’ll have to meet the following conditions:
- Earn 20,000 TD Rewards Points† upon making your first purchase†
- Earn an additional 115,000 TD Rewards Points† upon spending $5,000 in the first 180 days of account opening†
If you spread out the spending over the course of six months, it works out to be around $833 per month. This should be a reasonable amount for many households, and you can boost your balance further by targeting spending in a category with a bonus.
As a reminder, the category earning rates on this card are as follows:
- 8 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible Expedia® for TD purchases†
- 6 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible groceries and dining purchases†
- 4 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible regularly recurring bill payments set up on your account†
- 2 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases†
It’s worth noting that there’s a $25,000 annual cap for the total amount spent on groceries, dining, and recurring bill payments. Once you’ve reached that threshold, the earning rate drops down to the base rate of 2 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent.†
Some of the card’s other features include:
- 10% anniversary bonus† of TD Rewards Points earned over the past 12 months, up to 10,000 points†
- $100 annual TD Travel Credit† upon spending $500 (CAD) on lodging expenses booked with Expedia® for TD†
- Strong insurance coverage†
If you’d like to keep the costs down year-after-after, consider a TD Unlimited or All-Inclusive chequing account, which will waive the annual fee on one TD credit card of your choice, including the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card, on an ongoing basis.
Otherwise, the annual fee for this card is $139, beginning in year two, since it’s rebated for the first year with this offer.†
Supplementary cards cost $50 each†, and the current first-year fee rebate also applies to the first supplementary cardholder.†
The TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite† Card requires either $60,000 in annual personal income, or $100,000 in annual household income, to qualify.
To be eligible for this offer, you must apply and be approved for the card before March 4, 2024.

The breakdown of the welcome bonus is as follows:

- 1.5 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases†
As you can see, the earning rates are a step down from those on the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card; however, if you don’t qualify for the higher-tier card, then you can still get a decent return on spending in any of the boosted categories.
There’s a $15,000 annual cap for the total amount spent on groceries, dining, and recurring bill payments†, before rewards on spending drop to the base rate.
The annual fee is $89, which is rebated for the first year under this offer, and it can be easily waived in subsequent years with an eligible bank account.

The welcome bonus has seen a slight drop this time around, and you’ll earn 15,152 TD Rewards points.† All you need to do is keep the account open and in good standing for 90 days to maximize the offer.†
As part of the current offer, you’ll also enjoy a six-month Uber One membership.†
For a credit card with no annual fee, the earning rates are quite competitive, and are structured as follows:
- 4 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible Expedia® for TD purchases†
- 3 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible groceries and dining purchases†
- 2 TD Rewards Points† per dollar spent on eligible regularly recurring bills set up on your account†
- 1 TD Rewards Point† per dollar spent on all other eligible purchases†
There’s a $5,000 annual cap for the total amount spent on groceries, dining, and recurring bill payments, before the rewards on spending drop to the base rate.†
This is surely one of the more competitive options amongst Canada’s best no-fee credit cards.
There’s no minimum income requirement for this card.
- Earn 15,152 TD Rewards Points upon keeping your account open for 90 days†
- Plus, earn 4x TD Rewards Points† on eligible travel purchases when you book through Expedia® for TD†

Conclusion
TD often puts out competitive welcome bonuses on its suites of credit cards, and this time around, there are some great ways to boost your TD Rewards Points balance. TD Rewards Points are a great currency to use for some aspects of travel, such as independent hotels, cruises, and vacation packages, that are otherwise difficult to book with points.
It’s great to see a record-high welcome bonus on the TD First Class Travel® Visa Infinite* Card available once again, but you’ll want to act soon before it’s set to expire.
Be sure to apply and be approved for the above cards by the respective ending dates of either March 4, 2024, June 3, 2024, or September 3, 2024.
