The Last Of Us Fans Demand Pedro Pascal’s Return After Emotional Episode

Max has just tweeted to ask if The Last Of Us counts as therapy, and let’s just say, a whole bunch of arguments followed. Emotional replies flooded the section asking to bring back Joel and fiery debates about where the show is heading. Yeah, maybe not that therapeutic.

MoonLightSkyss had a meltdown with consecutive messages. First, begging: “They live in the future!! They can revive people I mean they should!!! At least bring him as a ghost I don’t know I can’t 😭😭😭😭 I felt he was my dad too 😭😭😭💔.” In the next one, revealing the whole scene was too hard for them to sit through, ‘I’ve been crying for days,’ and honestly? Same. Some people aren’t just shedding tears for Joel but are also using the platform to take a few shots at Max-friendly prices raised by 15% while cutting 50% of the content, Seven_Sugars chimed in. ‘Just stringing us along for one or two decently good shows amongst a pile of reality trash,’ they added alongside a URL to confirm that point. Ouch.

Then, moving on to the evil hot takes. For Boogahlatooth, that meant taking a few cracks at Pedro Pascal. He called him ‘the creepy, progressive man who is apparently a fetishist for dudes in womanface.’ He then said, ‘Good thing I didn’t know about this before Abby beat him with a 9 iron.’ Yikes. PolarPine25 has also been heavy on a tougher line, accusing Pascal of being a ‘woman & girl hater’ and engaging in the trans rights discourse in women’s spaces. Uh, we don’t think this was the type of vibe Max was looking for.

Other replies were really just utter destruction. For example, MaddieReid asked, ‘Why does he have to die like that? My baby Joel.’ lcvespascal demanded, ‘Bring Joel Miller back and then I’ll accept it.’ An even Turkish user, efe MERT, wrote: ‘Why would you kill him you maniacs?’ (Of course, translated).

MagalyMuniz attempted to take it easy, saying, ‘It feels good seeing them joke and laugh, and then Pedro “Joel” just would be sad. No therapy could help. ☹️’ But that said, we have to concede: after that episode, even therapy might not suffice.

A few responses were pure denial. Pastmetax replied outright: ”It really doesn’t,’ whereas thebl4ckd0g commented, ‘Not after last week’s episode of @TheLastofUsHBO.’ Fair enough.

Max’s therapy tweet was an attempt at cleverness, and as it turns out, the replies? Total chaos. Grief, anger, and fully formed conspiracy theories were all evidently indications that The Last Of Us has its fans in their feelings. And, honestly? Same.

The show can wrench those emotions-from love to hatred to nights of sorrowful crying with one’s pillow over Joel’s death-purely through its epic storytelling. Anyway, Max better think twice before calling this ‘therapy’ again, unless…you know…they’re ready for yet another wave of REALLY passionate replies.

Not to forget, Max has also reminded everyone about a new episode dropping tomorrow at 9 p.m. So brace yourselves for more emotional damage everyone. Going by the reactions to this tweet, we will all need actual therapy come the end of the season.
