Tom Sandoval Trashes New Vanderpump Rules Reboot Cast

Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules was the last season with the original cast. Season 12 is being rebooted with a crew of fresh faces. After Scandoval, the friend group was fractured and couldn’t move forward. Now, Tom Sandoval is weighing in on the new cast and the Pump Rules reboot. Buckle up!

The new Vanderpump Rules reboot cast are fame-hungry according to Tom Sandoval

Alex Baskin, the executive producer of VPR, is promising a satisfying Season 12. “It’ll be messy and just a fun ride,” Alex previously said. Well, Sandoval begs to differ.

Recently, Sandoval was a guest on The Ringer Reality TV Podcast, hosted by Johnny Bananas. And he wasted no time slamming the new cast. “This cast is like, they wanted to get a job. To like, you know, hopefully make it into the background of one of our scenes,” Sandoval stated.

“Or hopefully try to hook up with a cast member to try to make it on the show. Their goals were to make it on the show.” He added, “I know one person who was trying to get on the show, who literally came into town, and took an Uber straight from the airport to SUR to get a job there.”

Plus, Johnny shared his feelings about the reboot. “Listen. Call it something else. Can we just change the name?” he asked. Sandoval agreed, stating, “Don’t do the same opening credit song. Call it SURreal. Call it SURreal.” He added. “It’s about SUR.” Johnny joked, “They should call it Vanderdump.”

Finally, Sandoval explained why this reboot couldn’t work. “When Vanderpump Rules started, Lisa at that time just had Villa Blanca and SUR. She’s everywhere now,” he said. “She’s not like emotionally, mentally present. Nor does she even probably hardly know these f*cking people.” Johnny added, “Or give a sh*t.”

“That’s what I’m saying,” Sandoval remarked. “Like you’re trying to recreate something, and it’s just not…” Plus, Sandoval wasn’t the only Pump Rules alum to bash the new series. Katie Maloney called the reboot “cheap.” Ouch!

Vanderpump Rules is now streaming on Peacock.
