The thirst is real among some of your favorite reality stars. According to Alan Cumming, a ton of them are flooding his DMs trying to score a spot on The Traitors. It’s a twist that Alan didn’t see coming for his career, but there’s no turning back now. He’s got the keys to the castle, and everybody wants in.
Alan Cumming says reality TV stars are “constantly” in his DMs over The Traitors
Alan recently spoke with Us Weekly at the WNET 2025 Gala about his transition from actor to reality TV icon. The Emmy-award-winner joked about how he’s constantly being hit up by reality stars hoping to enter the castle.
“I have a constant barrage of reality stars now in my DMs and in my life asking me to be on The Traitors,” Alan revealed. “It’s not something I thought would be my life, but it is.”
Unfortunately, Alan didn’t name names, but we can’t blame these people for trying to get on the biggest reality show of the year. Season 3 contestants like Dylan Efron and Gabby Windey are literally everywhere after their stint on the show. Win or lose, it’s a big career booster.
There are also probably a few people in Alan’s DMs who have already appeared on The Traitors, desperate for a second shot at the game. For example, Real Housewives of New York star Dorinda Medley said she cried her eyes out when she became the first person murdered in Season 3. You know she’s not too proud to beg for a spot on Season 4.
Meanwhile, Alan has been dreaming up his own ideas for the Season 4 cast. A few faces he’d want to see in the castle — Martha Stewart and Miriam Margolyes. When speaking of the latter, he told Us Weekly, “She’s hilarious. And she’d just cause so much trouble.”
Regardless of the persistent DMs about Season 4, Alan seems perfectly content with this new direction his career has taken. In a previous interview promoting Season 3, he gushed about how fun it is to play the “weird rich lord who owns a castle.”
“I love it and I love the way that people have reacted to it in such a positive way,” he said. “And I love the queerness of it.”
