NBA Playoffs Schedule Sparks Debate And Corrections

Twitter

The schedule for the second round of the Playoffs was dropped by NBA insider Spears Marc J. Just sayin’-the people indeed had their thoughts. The tweet was few and brief—a link to the schedule—but the responses? If only they’d preserve the energy. The responses were a mixed bag: corrections, debates, and some guy trying to throw hockey into the mix for good measure. Classic Twitter chaos.

We first go into the seeds debate for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Many stepped on Spears’s toes correcting him that the Wolves were technically the 6th seed rather than the 3rd. Jonathan Chames, Nnaji by Nature, and B. Lopez repeated the finer and perhaps the louder tones. How many times does this need to be said? Minnesota was the 6 seed, folks. Not 3. Six. Got it? Good.

Then we have AJ expressing confusion as to why Game 7 of the Warriors was already listed with a date and time. Cranjis McBasketball (yes, name indefinitely worth praising) and Nate Tidwell explained that once they go into the second round of play, the league and the networks set the entire schedule in advance. So just planning ahead. Nothing to conspiracy about there, AJ.

Aaron Parker still had a question. Why the hell did they have three days off between games 5 and 6, if Warriors v. Wolves was the matchup? “Can’t play ball on a Saturday night in San Fran?” he queried. Valid question; might be because of a Beyoncé concert. Who knows.

But the best reply was from Stephen Rzepecki himself. He simply said, “Put the NHL on!! Watch guys who care.” Savage, straight-up disrespect towards the NBA playoffs. Somebody should check on Stephen just to make sure he’s okay.

Meanwhile, Pete Vialpando was out here with some bold predictions: “You have the Thunder in 6? Nuggets in 7!” Just, bro, save it for the group chat.

Then there was Vida Williams, who was simply happy about the schedule being released. “Thank you 🏀,” said she. That’s straightforward. Very wholesome. We stan Vida.

So yeah, was all calm with a simple schedule tweet until the madness erupted. Corrections, debates, hockey derision—Twitter, never skipping a beat. NBA playoff heat going into the comment section. Fasten the seatbelts, folks. We are in for one hell of a ride. Oh, and Minnesota was the 6 seed. Just in case you forgot.
