Joshua Jackson has been having his share of love in Mexico City, coinciding with the release of his new movie Karate Kid Legends across Latin America. The actor conveyed his emotions in an Instagram post with several pictures from the premiere event accompanied by much appreciation for a massive show of support.

A little of what he included in his caption is about the excitement that Mexico City shared: “What an amazing time!! Thank you Mexico City for turning up and showing us so much love.” He also encourages everyone to get to theaters because it’s already opened across all of Latin America.
Then the funny thing in the post is that Jackson tried to write half of it in Spanish, only to admit to relying on his translation gurus. “Hola Latinoamerica, HOY se estrena #Karate Kid Leyendas, y ustedes serán los primeros en verla así que no esperen más.” This logic breaks down into, “Hello Latin America, TODAY #KarateKidLegends premieres, and you will be the first to see it so don’t wait any longer.” Fans were just rushing to assure him that his Spanish was really perfect with one commenting @lizlozlazmrqz: “The translation in Spanish is good!!! ❤️!”
The post also gave props to his stylist Adam Ballheim and the Todd Snyder suit that did not go unnoticed by the social media world either. @lesils1988 jokingly said, “I think you need to be applauded for the versatility demonstrated in your fashion choices here 😂👏🏻” Meanwhile, @nanmyra admired that denim jacket, calling it “a special memento of the shows you’ve done.”
On the other hand, Mexico wasn’t the only place showing tears for Jackson. Latin America had people commenting on Jackson’s invitations to come and visit their respective countries. “Now, you gotta come to Brazil!! 💚💛,” begged @fernanda.motac with @anddrecullen echoes, “Come to Argentina!!!! I love youuu ❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Then @caribbue went and shared, “That’s me and my brother in the third pic. Thank You so much ✨🥹🇲🇽 🫶🏻.” This triggered a mini-thread exploring if he was that handsome in real life. (Spoiler: The answer is yes.)
The passion didn’t stop there. Many even said they were not so sure if they were going to watch the movie—until they found out Jackson was in it. “@vancityjax Okay I don’t know if I was for sure gonna see this before I knew you were in it but NOW 🔥,” admitted @ladyafrica. Then @kategleeson1 just had to go ahead and compliment him cheekily while saying Jackson “ages like a fine wine chefs kiss 😘.”
This one has all the makings to be a full-paying hit for Karate Kid Legends. Whatever the film is, the charm Jackson portrays, or perhaps that jacket he had the valor to wear for quite some time, the fans are game. And judging by those comments, Latin America is more than ready to welcome him back anytime soon.
