The moment was spontaneously snapped as Papoose breezed through some freestyle bars hyping the 26 July heavyweight title defense.

The video begins with Papoose jokingly interviewing Shields on her predictions for the fight. Suddenly, Papoose breaks into this mad-fast rhyme referencing Michael B. Jordan movies to the death of George Floyd: “I’m so allergic to fake people, I need to be in a trend,” he rhymes, further enriching the wordplay in freestyle. The freestyle ends with a shout-out to both their hometowns-Brooklyn and Detroit-while Shields laughs in the background.

Fans poured in sincere praises for the moments in the comment section below. One user made the whole atmosphere resonant saying, “Effortless. Off the top better than rappers’ written verses.” Another said, “Pap ain’t say nah, sun just started spitting,” implying the ease in which the rhymes came. Several others concurred that much of Papoose’s freestyles remain unappreciated in the hip-hop community,One of them went on to say he’s in the “top 5 best rappers.”

In a flash, the whole dynamic that had formed between Papoose and Shields became a serious topic for discussion. Several said that the smile that Shields had throughout the performance said it all, especially on the line “She got that whip appeal”-a nice wink to Babyface’s classic. “The way she was smiling said enough,” another said, “I LOVE the way he makes you smile girl… It’s giving FOREVER.
