Scott Presler Claps Back At Body Shamers With Defiant Message Of Strength

Known as a conservative activist for grassroots organizing and a viral social media phenomenon, Mr. Presler gave perhaps the fiercest retort ever to any of his body-shamers. Needless to say, Scott Presler really threw it all at them. In a matter-of-fact candid post, Presler flipped the negativity: he said that he was stronger than ever and working hard to prove them wrong.

“To all the people that fat shamed me, that body shamed me, that put me down, thank you. Because I’m stronger than ever and I’m working harder and I’m gonna succeed.” Defiant and thankful would be the bare minimum to describe the message; it flipped the script on critics and used their words as motivation. “Your attacks gave me a thicker skin, they made me stronger. Let’s go.”

The world practically applauded and showered the post with support, while some wondered how anyone could literally body-shame the guy in the first place. One fully candidly asked, “Who was fat shaming? You’re not even overweight.” Another gave a very clear “I’ve never seen you look overweight in any of the pictures I’ve seen.” Some commented jokingly to his looks: “I didn’t know you were fat. Good for you.”

But really, the best part was the supporters celebrating his courage. “Don’t give the body shamers any power,” someone said. “They are terrible people.” Another one agreed: “Cowards hide behind social media and say things they’d never have the courage to say to your face.”

The support didn’t get much serous as one responded, “I’m trying but I’m starting to wonder if the guy who sold me on a whiskey and cheeseburger diet was really a doctor.” Another teased, “Can’t wait to see you in tights and a cape,” insinuating Presler is about to go full-on superhero.

What is very clear is that Presler’s message crossed the whole fitness barrier and touched on the universal feeling of sheer disgust toward online cruelty and turning hate into curses. And whether or not he ever really was “fat” (there certainly were many who said he wasn’t) was secondary because the real point was: He is no longer letting anybody decide how much he thinks of himself.

Those who want practical advice? Some had their doubts about his regimen. “How did you do it? Mostly diet? Exercise? Both?” one intrigued user wondered. That one went unanswered. In the past, he has said: Weight training, and consistency.

The bigger picture, however, is that Scott Presler’s comeback is not only about weight. It’s about courage. Amid rampant internet bullying, Presler’s unabashed refusal to bend beneath insults serves as a gentle reminder: a strong character is way more powerful than the meekest insult any day of the week.

Therefore, to the trolls who thought they could drag him down, his simple answer: You keep talking. I’ll keep winning.
