Janelle Brown of Sister Wives is still having revelations about her relationship with Kody Brown even after all this time. And now, she reveals that she believes their whirlwind courtship is what influenced her choice to marry him in 1993.
Looking at Kody’s courtship with Robyn has made her realize that they had a much longer courtship than the rest of them. And that made her think that if she had had more time with Kody then she may not have married him.
Janelle Brown questions her quick marriage to Sister Wives patriarch Kody Brown
“If I had a year with Kody, I’m not sure I would have married him, honestly,” Janelle admitted during the Sister Wives One-on-One special.
Janelle first entered a spiritual union with Kody in 1993, three years after he married his first wife Meri Brown. And now, she’s considering a spiritual divorce from Kody like Meri did.
In fact, in Sister Wives Season 19, fans watched each ex-wife has moved forward without Kody, leaving him and Robyn in a monogamous relationship that may be doomed to fail.
Now with Janelle having moved on, she and Kody remain at odds about their split. “I don’t know what went wrong between us. But it made me angrier and angrier until I was just like, ‘Yeah, I’m done.’ And she was too,” Kody shared.
Janelle, for her part, clapped back at Kody’s claim that she loves playing the victim. “I’m definitely not wearing a victim card because I want my feelings and boundaries and emotions respected,” she said. “I don’t think that’s being a victim.”
She added that Kody is so focused on running interference for Robyn that he keeps saying negative things about her, Christine, and Meri. She hinted that Kody keeps sabotaging himself and making himself the villain to help take the blame from Robyn.
Sister Wives is available to stream on TLC.
