Biden’s border crisis is far from over

Evidence of the Biden Border Crisis Coverup grows stronger by the day — even as the crisis grows worse.

The latest: Todd Bensman’s report Monday for The Post from Piedras Negras, Mexico, on the rush of families heading into Texas and being admitted, no questions asked.

That followed Mark Krikorian’s column last week showing how Team Biden has avoided chaos at the border by allowing thousands of illegal migrants to enter via Custom and Border Protection’s CPB One app, which lets them “schedule their illegal immigration.”

President Joe Biden may be claiming victory (over the disaster he caused), but less visible border chaos hardly  means the crisis is over — only that Joe’s hiding it better.

As Bensman reports, migrants now realize that “tougher” new rules, rolled out after Title 42 ended, don’t apply to families.

Five “freshly released parents” (who already had asylum or humanitarian protection in Mexico) report they got waved into the United States without even getting asked if they were seeking asylum.

“We just turned ourselves in,” one said. “They just did all the paperwork.”

And the lucky newcomers are telling folks back home that they, too, can get in — if they come with kids.

Expect the flood of “families” (some real, some not), already a large share of the crisis, to swell even more.

Meanwhile, the app and all the other “legal pathways” that Team Biden brags of expanding similarly reduce noticeable border chaos — but not the actual tide of migrants end-running the immigration laws.

It’s anyone’s guess now how many thousands are crossing each day, counting all those taking both legal and illegal routes.

But hundreds a day are still showing up in places like Chicago and New York, to the point that Mayor Eric Adams is even floating the idea of parking them in private homes.

Kudos to Democratic ex-Gov. David Paterson for joining Adams in fingering the true “root cause” by blasting Biden for leaving cities like New York holding the bag.

But most Dems are still in denial.

California officials are griping that a plane of migrants showed up unannounced in Sacramento last week, but who ever gives Texas towns a heads up that far larger waves will be overwhelming them?

Nothing’s been “solved.”

Biden is just keeping the chaos off-camera, at the expense of cities and others overwhelmed by the unending tide.

Funny: The last time a president effectively told New York to “drop dead,” it was a Republican.
