On Twitter, Ivanka Trump wished her father, Donald, and her husband, Jared Kushner, a very happy Father’s Day. She posted the heartfelt message with a family photograph in which all three were smiling together in an informal outdoor setting.

Ivanka described her father with the words “unwavering determination” and “divine vision.” She said that her father instructed her to “dream boldly” and “work relentlessly.” She continued with the flair of a family girl by bragging that her father’s influence has been “a guiding force” in her life. Donald Trump was dressed rather casually in a blue button-down shirt; Ivanka and Jared stood on either side of him.
Ivanka went on to describe Kushner as her ‘rock, compass, and greatest gift for our children” and praised him as a father. She said raising their three children with ‘patience, strength, wisdom and so much heart.’ It ended with Ivanka’s blessing for the entire family to have both men in their lives.
Arguably, in the comments, the starkly divided commentaries from supporters and detractors highlighted the country-wide polarization on political issues. One cheerleader wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to @POTUS @realDonaldTrump! You are the father of our nation, presently, and the best we ever had,” whereas another simply wrote, “Congrats. nice family.”
A couple of interesting answers arose, with detractors using the opportunity to bring up some fights about the Trump structure. One user stated explicitly, “Your father is a rapist and a pedophile who buried your mother in a golf course,” referring to unsubstantiated allegations and stressing that Ivana Trump is at Trump National Golf Club. Another quipped, “Daddy thank you for giving me the opportunity to Walk away with $640 Million and the $2 Billion for Jared,” referencing deals made during Trump’s presidency.
Other answers creepier, “Your father’s biggest regret is he couldn’t marry you… PS: Also your mother is on a golf course.” The dark humor alludes to the golf course burial and Donald Trump’s long-standing inappropriate comments about his daughter’s looks through the years.
The international opinions were also present in the replies. A Turkish user wrote, transcribed into English: “Congratulations to you, you are as you appear to be, bad or good, you are not dictators like the bad Arabs and Muslims of the Middle East. Saddam Hussein was not a better person or leader than Trump.” This example shows that the Trump family remains a global lightning rod for political opinions.
The post piqued interest due to Jared Kushner’s father, Charles Kushner, a convicted felon who served time in federal prison for illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion, and witness tampering. One critic remarked, “Across the board, rotten fathers :)”; another added, “Must be something for your kids to have 2 felons as grandfathers.”
Two friends meanwhile began defending them, and one told the haters, “You poor, mislead, hatred filled person. U believe the crap MSM spouts never attempting to ferret out the truth.” Lines such as these truly stand for all the battles that break out commonly beneath social media posts related to the Trump family.
Since her father’s announcement of his 2024 run, Ivanka has been keeping out of view more so than she has previously since the announcement basically marked a gateway for her continued loyalties to both her father and husband. This must paint a very different picture of family harmony (at least from the post and picture) that highlights the violently contrasting reactions the post elicited online.

Considering that Trump is accused and indicted with a bunch of issues while campaigning for a comeback to the White House, the timing of this post is pretty engaging. Perhaps the setting of such family values and fatherhood bonds is an attempt for Ivanka to show a human side to her father in this election season. That may or may not go beyond the base concerned, but judging from dishes pounded down by a certain segment of America, one side of America is still split right in the middle over the Trump family.
