Superman & Lois Renewed for a Shorter Season While Gotham Knights Gets Canceled at The CW

A decision has been made about the future of Superman & Lois and Gotham Knights, After weeks of rumors and doubts, fans can finally get some peace of mind when it comes to the continuation of the love story of Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

Unfortunately, the faithful army of followers of the heroes of Gotham City don’t run with the same luck, and just a few days after The Flash’s final race another title for the DC house has fallen into The CW’s black hole along with recently canceled shows such as Walker: Independence.

Crisis is hitting hard at the network, but it seems that the Man of Steel has managed to survive but with a few cuts. Deadline reports that Superman & Lois will have a fourth season, but it will only last 10 episodes. And that’s not all, there will also be a reduction in the number of cast members for the upcoming episodes, although the main stars of the show won’t be affected.

All American: Homecoming has also been renewed, joining the list along with Walker and All American, which were part of the first wave of renewals that came a few weeks ago.

Gotham Knights, on the other hand, won’t continue beyond its first season as it was expected, since it was released in the middle of the chaos, and it didn’t present such strong numbers as Superman & Lois or any of the others.

Later this year, another of the network’s great emblems will come to an end too. Riverdale, which became one of The CW’s most successful series, will end with its seventh season, which premieres in August.

So, after the end of The Flash, so many cancelations and many other series ending, The CW will look very different in the near future.

Tyler Hoechlin Celebrates the Idea of a New Superman

Tyler Hoechlin’s future as Superman is locked in for at least one more season, but the DC cinematic universe is getting a new Man of Steel very soon in Superman: Legacy, and the former Teen Wolf star couldn’t be more happy about it.

At Superman Celebration (via Agrl4god80) the actor showed his support for the new actor playing the role in the upcoming DCU movie, expressing real excitement:

“I am very confident that whoever comes in [for Superman: Legacy]…it’s so funny, people jump so quickly to say ‘That’s not it, that’s not it!’ when they get somebody, but I would just encourage everybody to whoever the next person ends up being [cast as Superman] give them a chance because I’m sure they will be awesome. I think anyone who does this has a huge love for it and a real care for the character, even me, who didn’t really grow up with the character – you know what Superman means to people, and I think it’s just something that you don’t mess with unless you really have a care for it. I’m excited to see whoever the next person is.”

Hoechlin first appeared on Supergirl’s season two, and was highly criticized when The CW picked him for the part. Now, seven years later, the actor receives nothing but praises for his interpretation.
