From Moynes’s mouth, it was thrilling news for all thrill-seekers and ocean lovers: two last-minute positions went on sale for the Florida Shark Diving checks on July 23rd, and everybody’s gone wild about short notice shark swimming.

In the video announcement, Moynes laid out the insane details of basically having two full days of adrenaline: Diving with sharks (real sharks!), searching for manatees, airboating over the Everglades, looking for shark teeth, and basically living out every wild Florida fantasy you have ever imagined-don’t worry; all the gear is provided, along with shared Airbnb accommodations, chef-prepared meals, and transfers; just about everything except your flights and dive insurance.
One of the best and funniest parts was in response to the announcement. One user chimed in to say they’d have Moynes “at their beck and call” for the duration of the trip, while another lamented they had to work and couldn’t join on such short notice. Another comment that fairly sums up the feeling in this wild instance goes: “Nothing says happy 4th of July like a shark diving trip in swamp country.”
Some really did manage to seize the moment; already there was an enthusiastic party stating that they had slid into his DM, while others commented in sorrow – “Ahhhh this kills me!!! I 1000% wish I could!! Work won’t let me this short notice though.” Try balancing grown-up commitments and swimming with predators-it’s the real deal.
It kind of made it that much more interesting that Moynes has carved out a little synergy, inching away from a reality star into a zealous superintendent of these wild eco-adventures. Clearly, combining conservation education with heart-pounding adventures is his niche. The enthusiasm in that clip is contagious-the moment he assures that this trip is going to be “life and perspective changing,” I found myself believing it just a little bit.
Originally sold out, these two last-minute openings are a golden ticket. Moynes warned they would be gone fast, and judging by the on-the-spot responses, he was not kidding. The reason to attend may be for conquering fear, doing some serious Instagram-worthy shots (there is literally a photographer in the water), or just something crazy to do this Summer-People want this.
Another user teasingly brought up Moynes’s facial hair and tried throwing in some Ron Burgundy analogies because how would there be a serious shark dive announcement without a little mustache love?

For those who miss out this time around, Moynes said more chances might be coming someday, so alas, swimming with sharks is not entirely off the table just yet. For two lucky ones, this spontaneous summer just got a little more interesting. Just a little reminder: when Blake Moynes says, “Let’s just spice the summer up a little bit,” this is what he means. Shark-infested waters kind of.
