In just a few short months, DC Comics is going to have the team-up of the year. This year’s San Diego Comic-Con was filled with a lot of surprises and new announcements. But there’s one piece of news that’s really driving fans of DC’s Absolute Universe wild with what it could mean for the future.
On the first official day of San Diego Comic-Con 2025, DC Comics held its “DC All In” panel, featuring creators involved in several key titles in the All In initiative, such as Scott Snyder, Joshua Williamson, and Hayden Sherman. The creators talked about the success of DC’s Absolute line of titles and even gave glimpses of the line’s future.
When discussing Absolute Wonder Woman, it was revealed that the Absolute Universe was finally going to have its first crossover between the two titles. This December, Absolute Wonder Woman #15 will see Diana teaming up with Absolute Batman’s Bruce Wayne. While no plot details were revealed, DC released the issue’s cover, showing the two Absolute heroes ready for a fight.

The Absolute Universe is a new world shaped by Darkseid and one where the heroes face greater challenges than their Prime DCU counterparts. Here, they generally don’t have huge support systems and are taking on larger-than-life threats by themselves. But for what these heroes lack, they more than make up for in determination and skill.
It’s no surprise Bruce and Diana are poised for a crossover. This issue will, after all, take place after this fall’s Absolute Evil one-shot. The villains of this world can sense their way of life is threatened by the heroes, so they’re uniting to stop them. The only way for the Absolute heroes to survive is by similarly teaming up.

One Spark is All This Universe Needs for More Heroes to Come Together
With everything going on, the Absolute heroes haven’t had the time to even consider uniting with other heroes just yet. But things are rapidly changing in their world. If they want to keep going after the evils that plague the Absolute Universe, collaboration is the only way forward. Hopefully, this upcoming DC crossover is just the beginning of something bigger.
