Alan Tudyk has appeared in countless great sci-fi projects over the years, and one of his best shows in the genre has just concluded and is now available to watch in full for the first time ever. It’s easily one of Tudyk’s best TV shows, and more than a worthwhile watch for fans of the Firefly star.
The show in question has just finished airing its fourth and final season, and allowed Tudyk to play one of the best sci-fi TV characters of all time. Totaling 44 episodes, it’s a relatively easy binge-watch, now that all installments can be easily located in one place. It wouldn’t be a stretch to call it one of the best shows on Peacock.
All Episodes Of Resident Alien Are Now Available To Stream On Peacock
Now that Resident Alien‘s ending has been aired, the show can be streamed in full on Peacock. While originally airing on Syfy for the first three seasons, USA Network took over to make the fourth and final run. Despite season 4 being made on a reduced budget, it’s almost impossible to tell, and it’s arguably Resident Alien‘s best outing.
Tudyk’s sci-fi dramedy is available to stream on other platforms, but Peacock is the only one with every season of Resident Alien. The first season can be streamed on Fubo, and Netflix is also currently hosting seasons 1-3. However, trust me, you’ll want to keep going immediately after the end of Resident Alien season 3. So, Peacock is your best bet.
Resident Alien’s Harry Vanderspeigle Is The Role Alan Tudyk Was Born To Play
Alan Tudyk shines when he gets to play irreverent, non-human characters – often in sci-fi. Some examples include Sonny from 2009’s I, Robot, K-2SO in the Star Wars franchise, and Heihei in the Moana movies. Projects like 2004’s Dodgeball also prove he has a flair for comedic acting. Resident Alien allows Tudyk to combine all his various skill sets to play its main character.
Harry Vanderspeigle is the perfect role for Alan Tudyk. While he technically plays other characters in the show, bringing Harry to life is his primary responsibility. Watching him play an alien who’s trying and failing to come across as human is as hilarious as it is rewarding, and Alan Tudyk fans are missing out if they haven’t seen him do it.
Why Resident Alien Stands Out From Other Sci-Fi Shows
Resident Alien‘s primary responsibility is to make the audience laugh, but it doesn’t shy away from its other duties. Despite being a wacky sci-fi comedy at its core, Resident Alien also has countless emotional moments that would make some of the best prestige dramas in the world blush. If anything, the constant laughs make the tear-jerking scenes hit even harder.
Furthermore, Resident Alien engages in some surprisingly complex worldbuilding as it tells its story. While most episodes are set on Earth, the show includes storylines that include time travel and other beloved sci-fi tropes and puts a fresh spin on them all. In short, Resident Alien is unique among its competitors.
