Emotional turmoil may be the reason Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are breaking up.
According to a source, that turmoil is what the country singer is experiencing, and it is something many people his age go through. We know it better as a midlife crisis, and it’s something Keith may be experiencing at the moment.
Keith, 57, and Nicole, 58, have been married since 2006. The couple have two children, whom Nicole is taking care of while Keith is on the road.

Being back on tour may be influencing Keith’s desire to recapture his youth. That’s among the many common signs associated with a midlife crisis, something people are saying could be why he’s reportedly been neglicting Nicole.
Sources told TMZ that the singer’s inner circle believes a midlife crisis is the only explanation for some of his recent irrational decisions. Some of his close confidantes, along with Nicole, fear that he may be in crisis mode. Among his head-scratching decisions were firing his band in January, just a few months before releasing the album High. That ensemble, along with Keith, had been together for 25 years.
His new bandmates evidently didn’t make as big an impression on fans and music critics. High didn’t make it onto the year-end charts in the US, while only getting on a couple of lists in Australia.
Nicole did everything to try to salvage the marriage, which ultimately proved impossible. She filed for divorce earlier this week and is apparently seeking custody of the kids.
Some of those in Keith’s inner circle previously said that he may have moved on with another woman. Fans think his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, could be his new love interest.
Currently, Keith is on the road for his High and Alive World Tour.
