As reported by The Sun, in their new documentary, Katie Nicholls, a royal expert, shared their experience involving that situation. The expert said, “I remember going straight to the Entertainment Tonight studios to cover this story.” The person continued, “Trying to reach every member of the palace press office that I could and every single line going to voicemail.”
Per the news outlet, Katie Nicholls further explained, “It was very evident that these palace courtiers were locked in crisis talks.” The expert continued, “Because they weren’t expecting the announcement either.” The person then added that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tried their best to underplay the news. However, that reportedly affected the other members of the royal family in a major way.
The royal expert also said in the documentary, “I think Harry and Meghan have subsequently tried to paint their own narrative.” The person continued, “That makes it appear that it wasn’t quite the bombshell that it was.”
