Grand Theft Auto 6 is likely the most anticipated and hyped-up video game in modern history, and players are eager to learn as much as possible about the game in the months leading up to its May 26, 2026 release. An upcoming earnings call with Take-Two on November 6 has fans speculating about a possible major update/announcement for the game, or even a brand-new trailer for GTA 6.
While speculation and rumors about GTA 6 trailer 3 are one thing, it’s worth taking a look at what to realistically expect from the Take-Two earnings call next week, especially taking into account previous calls and how they coincide with major GTA updates and/or announcements. While a new trailer would be a huge deal for players, you might want to temper your expectations—and prepare to be underwhelmed.
GTA 6 Updates Expected On November 6 Take-Two Call
Players Speculate There Could Be A New GTA 6 Trailer Released Next Week
After an update to Rockstar’s website yesterday, rumors around the next GTA 6 trailer release are through the roof. These same rumors have been circulating for months now, particularly because the second GTA 6 trailer released about a week before a Take-Two earnings call back in May of this year.
During the May 2025 call, Take-Two also confirmed for players that GTA 6 was still on track to launch on the modified release date in May 2026. This, of course, does not mean that Take-Two or Rockstar are obligated or inclined to release another trailer in the same way, but players obviously are hopeful.
Aside from a trailer, however, there are a few updates that Take-Two could announce in the coming week that wouldn’t be entirely unprecedented, such as further reconfirmation of GTA 6‘s launch or even a possible pre-order release window.
On the opposite side of that, it’s also entirely possible (though highly unlikely) that GTA 6 could receive bad news, i.e., a further release delay. This would be devastating to players obviously, but based on insider GTA 6 knowledge, the likelihood of another delay is quite low.
That said, if Take-Two’s earnings call involves lower-than-expected profits, another GTA 6 announcement would certainly go a long way to distract from that news. However, that doesn’t appear to be the case, as a Nasdaq report last week suggested Take-Two is expected to report good numbers.
Players Should Temper Their GTA 6 Update Expectations
Another GTA 6 Trailer Isn’t Guaranteed, Despite Fervent Rumors
While it’s easy to get excited for a potential GTA 6 update announcement, rumors and reported “leaks” should be treated as highly suspect until 100% verified to be authentic. The recent rumors over a November 6 GTA 6 trailer 3 drop aren’t rooted in any actual insider leaks or verifiable rumors, and Take-Two doesn’t have anything to distract from in terms of earnings this quarter.
The Rockstar website update and the timing of GTA 6 Trailer 2’s release around the last Take-Two call are the main items fueling Trailer 3 rumors. It would be a massive gift to players, but fans need to brace for the possibility that Take-Two will not even mention Grand Theft Auto 6 at all on November 6, however unlikely that seems.
