If you’re jetting off on holiday this summer, and are after the perfect-sized suitcase to meet or beat , then you don’t want to miss Amazon’s Prime Day sale event.

Amazon Prime Day kicks off on July 11, and among the thousands of deals on offer, there are plenty of savings travellers won’t want to miss. The two-day shopping event, ending at 11.59pm on July 12, sees shoppers score incredible savings on everything from tech to toiletries. But the good news is, even if you don’t want to sign up for a free 30-day Prime membership trial, plenty of low-cost travel products are already available on Amazon – including luggage items perfect for those flying Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 and TUI.

While many deals are exclusive to Prime Day members, or those who have snapped up a free 30-day Prime membership trial, the website also has hundreds of discounted suitcases, bags and other travel essentials on sale for all customers.

We’ve rounded up some of our favourite deals from the Amazon Prime event, as well as a selection of cheap luggage items on Amazon right now for those who don’t want to sign up for Prime.

Our top Amazon Prime Day luggage deals

Amazon Prime Day 2023 officially launched on July 11 and will run until 11.59pm on July 12.

While the online retailer has countless bargains and discounts throughout the year on travel products for all customers, there are some extra special savings for those who hold a Prime account – especially on luggage items.

It’s worth noting, however, that not all of these deals will last the full two days. So, if a bargain catches your eye, it’s best to snap it up quickly.

Our top Amazon Prime Day travel accessory deals

As well as luggage deals, Amazon Prime Day 2023 also offers savings on must-have travel accessories so that you can get everything you need for your next holiday at a discount.

However, not every single deal will last the full two days. So, if you do spot a discount, it’s best to snap it up quickly to ensure you get the best savings.

Luggage deals you don’t need Prime to enjoy

Although Amazon Prime Day 2023 offers deals and discounts exclusive to Prime members, and those who have signed up for a free 30-day Prime membership trial, there are still plenty of savings available to all customers.

These discounts and deals are currently on offer for everyone, and all you need to have is an Amazon account to purchase.

We’ve rounded up some of our favourite deals right now. But, it’s worth noting these discounts are subject to change and can sell out quickly.

This viral Ryanair bag is just £11.99 – even without a Prime account

Ryanair is known for its incredibly cheap flights, with some flights on offer for as little as £19.99, but one thing it isn’t known for is its baggage allowance.

And, passengers who aren’t in the know about these luggage rules can end up facing excess fees at the airport. One of the most important  to know is its size and weight restrictions for both cabin bags and checked luggage. But, there is one viral bag that has been doing the rounds on social media, described by some passengers as “the real deal”.

As shown in a TikTok video posted by @emilystravelguides, the bag meets Ryanair’s basic cabin bag measurements of 40X20X25 and fits into the luggage sizer.

And to make things even better, the best-seller bag from the brand Narwey on Amazon isn’t exclusive to the Prime Day sale and is just £11.99. For those who like to add a pop of colour to their travel ensemble, the luggage item comes in an array of colours.

If you are jetting off with Ryanair in the near future and need to know the lowdown on all the latest rules (as well as some packing hacks to save you money) .

Non-Prime discounts on hand luggage for easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 and more

Of course, Ryanair isn’t the only airline with strict luggage restrictions. Budget favourites including easyJet, Jet2 and TUI all have their own luggage weight and size rules for cabin bags which you’ll need to consider before jetting off.

  • According to , hand luggage items for basic fare passengers can measure a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20 cm (including handles and wheels). Some passengers can bring a large cabin bag on board measuring 56 x 45 x 25 cm if they purchased an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat, booked a large cabin bag for their flight, are an easyJet Plus cardholder or booked a FLEXI fare.
  • Holidaymakers jetting off with Jet2 may bring one hand luggage item measuring no more than 56 x 45 x 25cm. This must weigh no more than 10kg. You can .
  • Under TUI’s baggage rules, travellers can take one piece of hand luggage measuring 55 x 40 x 20cm.

The good news is there are plenty of Amazon cabin bag deals that won’t see you facing excess luggage fees at the gate.

Save space (and money) with these packing cubes

Packing cubes are a great way to stay organised while you travel while maximising the space that you have. They’re even recommended by flights attendants, such as cabin crew member Rhiannon Corbett who said they are a great way to make sure “nothing moves around while travelling”.

Even without taking part in the Amazon Prime Day sale, there are plenty of discounts on packing cube sets available. A four-piece, waterproof packing cube set from Howala is on sale right now for £14.99, while an eight-piece packing cube set by the brand BETLLEMORY is on offer for £17.99 on Amazon.

Must-have travel accessories

Amazon also has plenty of deals on travel accessories that can enhance your experience while travelling.

From discounted neck pillows, sure to enhance any long-haul flight in economy, to toiletry organisers perfect for storing your suncream and make-up essentials, there are plenty of savings to be had even if you don’t have an Amazon Prime account.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?

Amazon Prime Day 2023 runs between July 11 and 12. The major sale event starts on Tuesday, July 11 at 12.01am and will come to an end on Wednesday, July 12, at 11.59pm.

However, Amazon has already launched a handful of deals for Prime members (and those enjoying a 30-day free trial) in advance of the sale. There are also plenty of discounts and savings to be had on products across the site, regardless of whether you are a Prime member or not.

Based on previous Prime Day sales, it’s likely most of the discounts specific to the sale will be reversed as soon as the two-day event ends. That means you’ll need to act fast to secure the best deals!

Prime members get next-day delivery and sometimes even same-day delivery in some parts of the UK on thousands of items sold on and dispatched by Amazon – meaning even more savings to enjoy.

Amazon also offers free returns on its sale items, so if you aren’t happy with your purchase, you can send it back free of charge.

When does the sale end?

Despite what the name suggests, Amazon Prime Day actually lasts for two days. The sale begins on Tuesday, July 11 at 12.01am and ends on Wednesday, July 12, at 11.59pm. However, not all Prime deals are available during the full two days.

Over the course of the 48-hour period, Amazon will roll out fresh deals on its website. Lightning Deals are only available for a limited amount of time, with the discount coming to an end after a set amount of time or once a certain amount of stock is sold.

Amazon also offers Deals Of The Day which will be available on only one of the two days.

With that said, some Amazon deals are on the website right now – and aren’t just exclusive to Prime customers. This is because Amazon offers discounts and deals on certain products throughout the year. So, even if you miss the Amazon Prime Day sale, there are still deals to be found!
