The Issue: The search for evidence of wrongdoing by President Trump in the new release of Epstein files.
That lackey Sen. Chuck Schumer is chasing more files pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein, looking for the smoking gun against President Trump (“DOJ warns some claims ‘Trumped up,’ ” Dec. 24).
He’s like a rabid dog in his quest, constantly demanding more and more files be released.
It’s quite ironic he’s acting this way, especially when one remembers that he voted against the impeachment of President Clinton during his infamous affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Pictures of Bill Clinton in the vicinity of young women? That’s old news.
What about the 28 complaints of sexual misconduct against President Trump, or the $5 million he paid E. Jean Carroll for defamation after she accused him of sexual abuse, or the $130,000 he paid to Stormy Daniels as hush money?
Are we so inured to Trump’s sexual transgressions that they no longer matter?

Dems are frustrated they can’t find trash on Trump in the Epstein files. I’m surprised they haven’t photoshopped him into the photos by now since they’re so good at making up lies.

Guess the liberal media has nothing better to do than report on the Epstein files 24/7 and wait to get something on Trump. Where were they during President Joe Biden’s term?
Why not get in touch with the parents of those teen girls and reprimand them for not teaching their daughters about predators like Epstein?
They should’ve been taught to never give a 65-year-old man a massage in his home.

These Jeffrey Epstein file redactions are leaving my brain with little satisfaction, like Mick Jagger.

The Issue: A staged video of Mandy Patinkin and Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani celebrating Hanukkah.
There are many ways to support a public figure (“Mam joins Mandy for Hanukkah,” Dec. 21).
All of them require effort: intellectual labor, moral risk and the willingness to engage disagreement.
What’s cheap is laundering someone’s moral standing through someone else’s identity, as Mandy Patinkin did when he made a private Hanukkah celebration into a public video with mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.
The video doesn’t clarify what Mamdani believes or how he responds to criticism. The message is not “here’s why his record deserves support,” but “look at the menorah and the Jewish-looking Jew smiling; listen to the blessing.” That’s the schlock: cheap entertainment.

Along with Jews who wore “Jews for Mamdani” t-shirts on Election Day, I anticipate that Patinkin would shed crocodile tears if a Bondi-like incident occurred on our home front. The escalating attacks on Jews and synagogues in the city certainly have not seemed to impact Patinkin’s perspective.
Anti-Zionism and antisemitism have commingled for some time. I hope the actor took time during the Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony to educate the incoming mayor, not just to embrace him.
