The currently scheduled November release for Grand Theft Auto VI is closer than it has ever been and excitement is dialing up among the game’s enormous worldwide fan base. That excitement is tempered by how little we know about what that launch is going to look like, and the community is looking for any tidbit of information to assuage the worst of their worries.

A big potential sticking point is the price of the finished product, with GTA’s ambition causing conversations to spring up around whether it could be the first $100 game (specifically for a “standard” edition). Now, new information has emerged that could go some way to lessening potential panic about the cost to us consumers.

As first reported by IGN, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick spoke at iicon, a new conference on the business of video games, where he spoke about the company’s approach to pricing GTA VI, while not going as far as revealing what it’s actually going to be.

“Consumers pay for the value that you bring to them, and our job is to charge way way way less of the value delivery. How you feel about something you buy is the intersection of the thing itself and what you pay for. Consumers need to feel like the thing itself is amazing and the price they were charged was fair for what they got.”

He then went on to say that, in relative terms, games are cheaper than they have been previously, given that their price hasn’t risen significantly over the last decade or more when compared to inflation.

“If you look at it through that lens, that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But that isn’t the lens through which we look. Instead, we look at… how do we deliver something amazing, and how do we make sure that what people pay for it feels very reasonable.”

They’re actually quite encouraging comments for those worried about the price, and in a post sharing the quotes on Reddit, the community were quite relieved with what they were reading.

“They get far more consistent revenue from the online aspects of the game. I doubt they will want to increase the entry fee for that and risk less people giving them consistent revenue,” one comment read.

Another was a little more negative, saying, “They’re absolutely drowning in cash as is. They could release it at standard price and it will still break records at launch. But we know that’s never enough in this day and age.”

A third said, “As a casual GTA player, the single-player experience will determine what price I’m willing to pay for it. If it’s going to be another GTA Online-focused experience, and we have to live through another 13+ years of not much to do in single-player, I’ll wait for a sale.

As mentioned earlier, GTA VI is still locked-in for a November release, with no signs that they are planning to delay for a third time (yet). If we get past the Take-Two earnings call in May without news of it being pushed back, we should be okay, so best to keep your fingers crossed between now and then.

Toy Story 5 is bringing back a devastating storyline for Jessie (Joan Cusack).

One of the saddest parts of the Toy Story franchise is in the second movie, when the backstory is revealed for Jessie, who was abandoned by her owner, Emily, and spent years hoping to be played with again, only to be donated instead. Between the new toy friends she’s made and being played with by Andy (John Morris) and Bonnie (Scarlett Spears), Jessie has found a sense of joy and belonging again.

Now, in Entertainment Weekly‘s Toy Story 5 preview, it’s revealed that Jessie will return to Emily’s house in the sequel. Emily doesn’t live there anymore, and it is instead home to a child named Blaze, whose voice actor, Mykal-Michelle Harris, describes the character as “a spunky, funky, equestrian horse girl. She was raised on a ranch with her family, and she’s never afraid to be herself. She’s an older kid, but she’s not afraid to play with toys or to have a whole bunch of horse figurines. That’s kind of her thing.”

Blaze has a real horse, Daffodil, and a pig, Jimmy Dean. An image has been released of Jessie and her trusty steed Bullseye riding Daffodil, with Jessie smiling widely while Bullseye looks startled. Even though she ends up there after a plan to help Bonnie make friends away from their tablets goes wrong, Jessie does not appear to be perturbed by this while riding the horse.

On the farm, Jessie meets several new toys, whose technology is outdated compared to Bonnie’s new tablet Lilypad (Greta Lee). These new characters are the potty-training Smarty Pants (Conan O’Brien), GPS tracker Atlas (Craig Robinson), and the digital camera Snappy (Shelby Rabara). O’Brien saw the ranch as the setting for a Western where Smarty Pants is the village drunk and Jessie is the cowgirl. Between Blaze, the animals, new toys, and finding a way back home to Bonnie, Jessie and Bullseye will have plenty to deal with while on the farm. No matter how busy she is or what she learns from the farm toys about technology’s impact on kids, Jessie will almost definitely be affected by the memories of her time there with Emily, including the fun they had together and the heartbreak of being abandoned.

As for whether Emily will be in Toy Story 5, that does not appear to be the case, even though her former home will be. There would need to be a compelling narrative reason for Emily to return to the house she grew up in, which she presumably hasn’t been back to for many years, but if it does happen, it could lead to a cathartic reunion for Jessie.

There is a 27-year-old Toy Story theory that Emily grew up to be Andy’s mother, which could be debunked or confirmed in the sequel. It would not only be shocking for the audience, but for Jessie, as this would mean she spent years in the same house as Andy’s mother, not realizing she was the adult Emily all along.

Regardless of whether this theory or adult Emily are part of Toy Story 5‘s plot, returning to this important setting and storyline for Jessie multiple sequels later is a surprising move. It opens the door for other elements, even those from the franchise’s earliest installments, potentially being revived as well.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where nature has begun to reclaim its domain, The Last of Us franchise is an example of the power of mother nature, and also the power of technology, with Naughty Dog able to push the limits of game-making by making The Last of Us Part II one of the most technology advanced video games of recent years.

Despite being released back in 2020, The Last of Us Part II is still an example of how far gaming has come when it comes to graphics and performance. Just taking a walk around some of Naughty Dog’s environments (when you are not being hunted by infected and humans alike) is enough to take your breath away as you stumble across toppling skyscrapers, rusted cars covered in creeping vines, and ripped posters showing a world that once was. Now, with rumors that The Last of Us Part III is on the horizon, fans have been taking a look back on the series as a whole, and wondering just how much of an improvement another installment will be on previous entries.

In recent weeks, fans have been debating everything from the potential protagonist for The Last of Us Part III to its setting and story, but a topic of a different variety has also taken place on Twitter, with one user sharing, “Naughty Dog pushed 2013 hardware to its absolute limits… Now imagine what The Last of Us Part III is going to look like.” The post was shared alongside a clip from The Last of Us Part II, and instead of showing epic combat or some of the incredible cutscenes, it just shows Ellie walking through one of Naughty Dog’s beautifully crafted environments, and it really is a stark reminder of how impressive the 2020 title looks.

As you might expect, the post soon elicited some responses, with many agreeing that Naughty Dog has what it takes to push the limits of technology and game making even further with The Last of Us Part III. “Part 3 will look better than real life,” the top comment read. Imu’s Strange Reaction To Loki’s Dragon Form Hints At A Split Personality

During the final panel of chapter #1182, Imu appeared surprisingly excited to see Nidhöggr. Instead of his usual frustration, especially when hearing about legendary figures like Joy Boy or Davy Jones, he seems genuinely thrilled. Judging by the mysterious king’s reaction upon seeing the mythical dragon, the upcoming chapter will likely feature a flashback. This look into the past should finally explain the hidden connection between these two legendary figures.

There is also a huge mystery surrounding Imu’s memory. Even though the mysterious ruler had previously witnessed Nidhöggr while possessing Gunko, he reacted to the dragon as if it were his first time seeing it. This strange clue strongly suggests that the King of the World might suffer from a split personality, similar to Luffy in his Gear 5 form. He genuinely appears to be a slightly different person since transforming before his arrival on the island.

The battle is about to get even bigger now that Luffy will join Loki to take on Imu. Throughout the series, Luffy’s first clash with a major villain always serves as a painful lesson about his own limits. It’s been a busy week for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as previews of the summer 2026 movies hit the internet. The fourth solo film for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is on Sony’s calendar for a July 31 release date, positioning it as one of the last major tentpole movies that audiences will get before the fall.

As a result, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has attracted plenty of interest. The movie was included in ScreenRant‘s 2026 summer movie preview, which included an exclusive interview with director Destin Daniel Cretton about the themes, story, and creative process. We were not the only source for fresh news about the movie, though, as the first three pages of Brand New Day‘s script with annotations from Cretton, Holland, Zendaya, and others were also released online by Entertainment Weekly.

After releasing the first Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer in March, details revealed in Cretton’s interview and the film’s script provide more context for what was seen. The movie’s central story for Peter’s arc, specific placement in the MCU timeline, opening scene, and connections to the broader universe have now become clear.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Story Is About Peter Parker’s Many Problems

Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it was always the hope that Peter’s next MCU story would fully lean into his loneliness. Rest assured, Holland’s character will be broke, sad, and alone. Cretton said as much in our interview with him, teasing the many problems that the friendly neighborhood hero is enduring.

Peter is dealing with some real grown-up problems both personally and professionally, and for the first time, he’s learning how to deal with them completely on his own.

The last point is the key to Brand New Day‘s themes. Cretton has made a movie about the dangers of living in isolation and the need for community. Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Opening Scene Details

The script pages have also confirmed the film’s opening scene. Peter then watches a video post from Ned and MJ, which transitions to him sitting upside down on a beam in his Spider-Man suit.

Ready for action, he goes to the edge of a building and falls off to help with a fire at a public facility. Brand New Day‘s opening scene ends as he swings away, and a montage begins. Several glimpses of the opening scene are featured in the first trailer, showing just how much Marvel and Sony are still keeping under wraps.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s MCU timeline setting was previously revealed as being four years after No Way Home thanks to an official synopsis. Cretton confirmed to us that the main story does take place that long after, but the whole film does not. The script states that the opening scene happens nine months after No Way Home‘s ending.

It appears that the montage after Brand New Day‘s opening scene will be used to depict three years’ worth of events, jumping the film from that point to its primary placement. Everything Peter is feeling after just nine months of being alone will have years to amplify and get worse.

It’s likely only after the time jump that Peter will cross paths with The Punisher, seek out help from Bruce Banner, and cross paths with Sadie Sink’s mystery character.

The Reason For Spider-Man’s Physical Transformation

As teased by the trailer, Peter undergoes a physical transformation/mutation in Brand New Day. His senses are out of whack, he’s passing out, he has organic webbing, and he’s waking up in a webbed cocoon. While the nature of these changes was open to theorizing before, the true cause of it all is now known.

The script notes that Peter gets a “small, sharp headache” almost right away. This is meant to act as an early sign that his lonely lifestyle is hurting his health. The screenplay writes, “something is changing, and maybe not for the better.” Cretton also teased this development in our interview:

His isolation has some unexpected consequences that will complicate everything in his life.

Peter Parker Doesn’t Have Any Stark Tech In Spider-Man: Brand New Day

One of the major criticisms of the MCU’s Spider-Man since he was introduced in Captain America: Civil War, was the reliance on Stark tech. With Tony as a mentor, the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist was responsible for creating many of Spider-Man’s costumes. We already knew that Peter had made his new suit, but whether he still had any Stark Industries connections was unclear.

The script confirms that every piece of technology that Spider-Man uses in Brand New Day comes from him, not Tony Stark. Cretton annotates, “No more Stark money or gadgets. All of his tech needs to have been made by Peter.”

This can be seen with Peter’s fabricator, described as being “something that could be made by a kid genius with limited funds,” and a new batch of web-shooters he designed. This will be his opportunity to remind everyone that he’s brilliantly smart and can make anything he needs.

Spider-Man Has A New AI Assistant

The loss of Stark tech also means that Spider-Man will say goodbye to his former AI program, F.R.I.D.A.Y., which was created by Tony, voiced by Jennifer Connelly, and has been part of his suits since Spider-Man: Homecoming. Rather than completely losing that component, Peter has instead created a new AI assistant known as E.V.

He might have lost F.R.I.D.A.Y., but Peter clearly was not ready to go back to superhero duties without some aid. Cretton notes in the script annotations that his AI is “sadly, the closest thing Peter has to a friend.” Ouch. It’s no wonder he’ll really struggle to fight the urge to reconnect with MJ and Ned once they are back within reach.

Spider-Man’s New Suit Is Inspired By Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men

Peter has a brand new suit for this adventure, one that has drawn comparisons to those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield since the moment it was revealed. It should come as no surprise that this was not a coincidence. The Brand New Day script says the suit is “inspired by his encounter with Toby’s and Andrew’s Spider-Men.”

It’s not just the look of the suit that is inspired by them, though. The movie is making an effort to make Spider-Man’s suit feel as real as theirs by using real fabric to make it and leaving in seams and wrinkles. This has already been noticed through the Spider-Man: Brand New Day footage we’ve seen, but this confirms that it is an intentional design choice, rather than something Marvel could digitally clean up further on in post-production.

Another day, another free game for players to download and check out on Steam. There are so many free games on Steam, that sometimes it can be a little hard to know exactly where to start. Fortunately, this particularly freebie is only around for a limited time, which should make it a lot easier for you to priorize it ahead of what I assume is a groaning backlog of purchased games.

At the time of writing, there are actually three free games available to download and play until May 4. I already covered two of them yesterday: one is a zombie shooter and the other is a historical strategy game. If, for whatever reason, neither of those jump out at you, maybe this third game will take your fancy.

For the next 72 hours, players can get their hands on Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, the latest entry in the Sonic Racing series, which was released towards the end of 2025. SEGA has announced a free weekend for the game, meaning you can download and play for free until May 4. Your progress will carry over, too, but the game is not free to keep.

“Race across land, sea, air, space, and time in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds!,” reads the game’s description. “Warp through Travel Rings into new dimensions where something new awaits around every twist and turn.”

I can confirm Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is an absolute blast, with every race feeling genuinely unique thanks to the Travel Rings that can take you between tracks in a flash. There are also plenty of fun guest characters, like Pac-Man, and SpongeBob SquarePants — two of the more iconic yellow fellas in pop culture.

If you enjoy what you play, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is 40 percent off until May 7, and any progress you make during the trial period will carry over. Not too shabby.

Also available until May 4 is the undead-blasting shooter No More Room In Hell. “No More Room in Hell 2 is an intense eight-player zombie shooter,” reads the official synopsis. “Overcome the endless undead. Finally, you have the same window of time to play Victoria 3. This is a 2022 historical sim, and actually the best-reviewed game of the bunch. You’ve got lots of options on Steam this weekend, then, but not enough time to dedicate to all three games. Make your choice.

Following the fall of Doctor Doom in the final issue of One World Under Doom, Scarlet Witch assumed the position of the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, despite being openly rejected by the Vishanti.

Throughout the series, she has undergone many trials, and in this issue, she will be aided by a new ally who shares her title but on a quantum level. At this point in time, there is very little information on the mysterious sorcerer available to the public, but this piece brings to light everything you need to know.

His name is Turin Sud-Ba, and from his appearance, it is immediately apparent that he does not come from humble beginnings. He hails from an illustrious and likely formidable lineage within the dimension, which is represented by a sophisticated family crest featuring a lion’s head. It is an emblem he wears with pride, positioned right above his waist at the front and center of his ornate attire. The deliberate use of the lion imagery suggests a history of royalty and strength, which would likely also relate to the potent nature of his powers and how he chooses to use them.

He is the Sorcerer Supreme of the Quantum Realm and is fittingly known as the Quantumancer. Fans have been introduced to the subatomic world in both the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in the former as the Microverse. It is a dimension that can be reached through shrinking to a quantum scale, and its relevance has been growing in significance over the years. From staging iconic battles between Ant-Man and Kang the Conqueror to enabling time travel that made the Avengers: Endgame plot possible, it has undoubtedly become a place of great importance in the ever-expanding Marvel world.

His presence proves that magic exists even at the subatomic level and that there are mystical forces of great power residing in the realm. The title possesses immense weight, as it effectively places him on equal footing with legendary masters of the mystic arts such as Agamotto, Doctor Stephen Strange, and many others. His status relative to others within the dimension is also undeniable, as the title of Sorcerer Supreme within a realm is reserved for beings with unrivalled power. His emergence also hints at a long-standing magical lineage that exists far beyond the level at which mortal beings can perceive.

He Can Manifest Four Spectral Arms

He is capable of manifesting four spectral arms that are presented in an azure hue and aid him in his use of advanced magic. These ethereal appendages can all seemingly cast a wide range of spells and take different poses simultaneously, signifying the vast extent of his powers. This gives him a significant advantage over his peers, as sorcery on many occasions has been shown to be highly influenced by complex hand gestures. While a standard sorcerer might be limited in how swiftly they can perform different motions, no such limitations exist for the Quantumancer and his supernatural multi-limbed physiology.

It is also worth noting that this transformation gives him six arms and a total of eight limbs, a silhouette that feels largely insectoid. This, of course, invites comparisons to Ant-Man, a character with an insectoid aesthetic who also has strong ties to the Quantum Realm. It is not known yet whether or not there is a solid connection between the two, but it is a compelling prospect. His several limbs could also be in reference to popular deities in different parts of the world, as it is not uncommon for certain gods to possess an abundance of limbs to signify their strength.

He Has A Jade And Floral Aesthetic

Based on details shared via Bernard Chang’s variant cover of the issue, a lot has been revealed regarding Turin’s appearance. It is deeply rooted in nature, specifically through the use of heavy jade and floral motifs. His costume features a vibrant mix of green hues, with a jade amulet hung across his chest and similarly colored outlines all over his attire. The lower part of his garment is reminiscent of pteruges, battle skirts traditionally associated with ancient Greek and Roman armor. When Turin takes flight, these elements unfurl and expand in the shape of a flower opening its petals, creating a blooming effect.

He also wears a regal mantle of lion fur across his shoulder that matches perfectly with the golden color of his hair. These are further complemented by his emerald coloured eyes, all features of which create a seamless transition between his physical appearance and royal apparel. Additionally, his amulet is said to glow when he is at full strength, and his powers are at full capacity. The jade elements likely represent both his status and the nature of his power. In many cultures and stories, jade is a symbol of healing and protection, hinting at a serene demeanor and general aura of compassion around the character.

He Is The Enemy Of The Extinction King

He is the enemy of the Extinction King, a cataclysmic entity who was introduced in the latest issue. The Extinction King was imprisoned on the planet Moritarga in the far distant past by the Vishanti. Following the confrontation between Scarlet Witch and the Elder God Oshtur, his chains were slightly weakened, however, this opening proved to be enough, and after eons, he has finally been set free. He is also the master of the “extinction weapons”, instruments of mass destruction capable of causing unimaginable damage. Turin and Wanda look set to face off against at least one of these weapons, as has been teased in the eighth issue.

The weapon, specified to be an astral supercannon, possesses destructive capabilities fitting of its master’s name. Indeed, his name alone suggests a drive for total annihilation that stands in complete opposition to the Quantumancer’s image of life and restoration. Their rivalry is framed to be the driving force of the upcoming narrative, expected to be more than just a mere battle of power but also a fundamental clash of opposite ideologies. This confrontation also promises to reveal more vital information about the nature of the Quantum Realm, as readers are set to discover what kind of history their current conflict supersedes.

He May Be A Love Interest For Wanda

News regarding Turin so far can mostly be drawn from the variant covers, and Lesley Li’s stunning artwork for the seventh issue is particularly revealing. It features Wanda and Turin in a warm embrace, his hand on her waist and her head on his shoulder, an image that implies a deep romantic connection between the two. Given their respective statuses and power levels, this would create a mystical power couple unlike any the world has ever seen. Their relationship also makes narrative sense when considering that Wanda is one of the most powerful beings in existence, and few partners can truly empathize with her situation.

Across various media, Wanda has had a complicated history with love, and while this relationship may suit her better than others, it still adds a layer of complexity to her journey. Her bond with Turin could as easily comfort her as it could get her entangled in more dangerous conflicts. There is also a chance of him fostering her growth, as he may offer her a new perspective on magic, coming from a realm where their outlook on life is vastly different. Whatever the case may be, the Quantumancer and the Scarlet Witch are bound to have a significant impact on one another.

He May Not Be As Trustworthy As He Seems

Despite his heroic title and elegant appearance, there are lingering doubts about Turin’s true intentions and allegiances. While he has generally been framed as a noble ally to Wanda, the official summary for the issue within which he is introduced suggests a far more ambiguous reality. It poses the critical question of whether he can be trusted, and given the volatile history of many other Sorcerer Supremes in Marvel lore, it may prove to be a valid inquiry. Many individuals who have previously taken up the mantle have harbored questionable morals or outright villainous streaks.

It was only just recently that Doctor Doom held the title within the world of this series, and Sinister Strange made his haunting appearance on the big screen. Though she wasn’t a Sorcerer Supreme in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even Wanda is no exception, as many of her actions across WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness can hardly be called heroic. Turin’s seemingly distinguished background may also play a pivotal role in this, as history proves that noble descent is rarely a guarantee of inherent goodness. Instead, such great influence combined with considerable power could easily translate to nefarious ambitions, especially compared to classic examples like Doctor Strange.

To start claiming codes, you need to have finished the game’s opening tutorial first, then go through your first battle royale match. Whether you win or lose, you can exit whatever match comes up next to go back to the menu and start entering codes.

Until you have completed every beginner objective tied to your initial match, codes won’t work for your account. This process is, thankfully, incredibly simple, usually only lasting 10 minutes or fewer, depending on your familiarity with the genre.

Before you enter any other match after the tutorial in Blood Strike, you can use the following steps to claim some free rewards first:

1. Re-Launch Blood Strike on your device.
2. Once on the main menu, look on the left side of the screen. Press the Event button.
3. Look on the left side of the screen again and press the loudspeaker button.
4. Scroll down and click on the Redemption Code button.
5. Enter any code shown above and click the yellow Confirm button.
6. You will receive a notification that you have received your reward.

Much like free rewards for Marvel Rivals or other live service games, the Blood Strike codes for May 2026 have specific purposes. Some are given out for big community achievements, such as an abundance of players or community comments. Yet, rewards change based on the progress and status of players within the game, sometimes shifting how you use them.

For example, the comment milestone code grants Gold based on the experience of your account. You get 200 Gold if you’re a new account, and 800 Gold if you’re above Level 20. Similarly, those who have the higher tier of Blood Strike‘s Battle Pass will be rewarded more, as the XP Acceleration Package from this month’s rewards gives a higher boost to Premium and Elite Pass holders compared to free-to-play consumers.

Other bonuses added as the month continues could include character outfits, more weapon skins, or even unique abilities that boost your character’s power during a match. However, it’s impossible to tell what other codes might come, as they have rarely followed a specific pattern since the game’s release.

Xbox isn’t afraid of giving players extra incentives to get involved with their flagship titles, occasionally offering up gift cards for their platform’s digital store, usually for hitting a relatively easy set of requirements. While this is often tied to sales, there are other times where the company is simply hoping to boost the player numbers for a game, or increase sales on the microtransactions within it.

One of those is seemingly happening right now, with many players reporting that they have been offered gift cards tied to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The whole thing is fairly confusing though, so here’s everything the community has managed to glean so far about what it’s all about, and how to make sure you get it.

As first reported by PureXbox, Xbox fans have been receiving messages offering them $5 gift cards for “participating in the Black Ops 7 campaign.” While that all sounds fairly plain and simple, this bizarrely doesn’t mean that you’ll be given the reward for playing through the game’s (average) single-player campaign.

Instead, it seems that campaign in this context simply refers to the push to get players to log in and play the game, with double XP on offer alongside the remuneration. In fact, it seems as though the rewards are unlocked by purchasing one of Black Ops 7′s ‘BlackCell’ battle passes, which are the hyper-premium version of the usual progression rewards track.

Whilst this obviously isn’t the ideal way to secure store credit, given that it requires you to spend money in the first place, if you were planning on buying the Blackcell pass anyway, you’ll want to make sure you claim what does amount to a freebie.

Xbox players are currently in the feeling out process for new leadership of their platform, with longtime head Phil Spencer being replaced by Asha Sharma earlier this year. Things have already started shifting significantly in that regard, with a significant reduction in the previously exorbitant price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, with the caveat that subscribers no longer get Call of Duty on day one.

At the same time, Sharma has also confirmed that she is looking into fan complaints about the lack of exclusive titles available on the platform. Given just how many major studios the company has under their control right now, if Xbox does decide to hit the exclusivity button in a big way, then PlayStation players could miss out on some major games at launch.
