It has been a few weeks since Elissa Slotkin, Mark Kelly, and other Democrats released their outrageous video suggesting that members of the U.S. Military should refuse supposedly ‘illegal’ orders from President Trump. People are still talking about it because we have never really seen anything like it before now.

What the Democrats tried to do here is pretty simple to understand. They are trying to drive a wedge between our military and President Trump, the Commander in Chief. It’s the sort of thing that the CIA does during color revolutions in foreign countries and Elissa Slotkin is former CIA.

One question about all of this that keeps coming up is this: Where did this come from? Who came up with this idea? It really doesn’t look like something Democrats would just come up with out of thin air.

Well, here is one possible answer to these questions.

About a month before these Democrats released their video, a Never-Trump Republican named Tom Nichols wrote a column for The Atlantic which reads like a blueprint for this whole thing. Take a look at this:

The Civil-Military Crisis Is Here

To capture a democratic nation, authoritarians must control three sources of power: the intelligence agencies, the justice system, and the military. President Donald Trump and his circle of would-be autocrats have made rapid progress toward seizing these institutions and detaching them from the Constitution and rule of law. The intelligence community has effectively been muzzled, and the nation’s top lawyers and cops are being purged and replaced with loyalist hacks.

Only the military remains outside Trump’s grip. Despite the firing of several top officers—and Trump’s threat to fire more—the U.S. armed forces are still led by generals and admirals whose oath is to the Constitution, not the commander in chief. But for how long?

First of all, what Nichols says here is completely wrong. The military is not outside of Trump’s grip. As President of the United States, he is the Commander in Chief. Now read this next part and pay special attention to the bolded ending:

Trump and his valet at the Defense Department, Secretary of Physical Training Pete Hegseth, are now making a dedicated run at turning the men and women of the armed forces into Trump’s personal and partisan army. In his first term, Trump regularly violated the sacred American tradition of the military’s political neutrality, but people around him—including retired and active-duty generals such as James Mattis, John Kelly, and Mark Milley—restrained some of his worst impulses. Now no one is left to stop him: The president learned from his first-term struggles and this time has surrounded himself with a Cabinet of sycophants and ideologues rather than advisers, especially those at the Pentagon. He has declared war on Chicago; called Portland, Oregon, a “war zone”; and referred to his political opponents as “the enemy from within.” Trump clearly wants to use military power to exert more control over the American people, and soon, top U.S.-military commanders may have to decide whether they will refuse such orders from the commander in chief. The greatest crisis of American civil-military relations in modern history is now under way.

The similarities here are undeniable. It looks like someone in the Democrat party read this column and thought it would be a great way to undermine Trump by trying to plant seeds of dissent in the military.

Of course, it could just be one great big coincidence too. Anyone buying that?

In his next column for The Atlantic, Nichols suggested that Mark Kelly should be the Secretary of Defense. Is this also a coincidence?

Republicans in Congress need to look into this. There are simply too many convenient coincidences here.

The state of Illinois is about to make it possible for illegal aliens to access state and local student financial aid. Governor J.B. Pritzker has already signed the law and it goes into effect on January 1st of 2026.

This is happening as the Trump Justice Department is suing various states over this exact issue. Student financial aid that is meant for American citizens should not be going to people who are in the country illegally.

This is an issue that goes directly to the core of what Trump has run on repeatedly.

Illinois Law Granting Student Financial Aid to Illegal Aliens Goes into Effect January 1

A law signed by Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL) that will make illegal alien students eligible for state and local financial aid–which detractors say will reduce grants and scholarships for citizens and legal residents–is set to go into effect January 1, 2026.

Pritzker signed House Bill 460 into law in August. It grants illegal aliens eligibility for grants, scholarships, stipends, and other state-funded student aid.

“If you live in Illinois and are pursuing higher education, you should have access to the same opportunities as your peers,” Illinois state Sen. Celina Villaneuva (D-Chicago) stated.

Advocates for illegal aliens believe that the law will help illegal alien students, who do not qualify for federal aid because they are not in the country legally, and that the state and local aid will boost their chances of going to college and joining the state’s workforce.

State data estimates Illinois is home to more than 500,000 immigrants without lawful status, with 27,000 already enrolled in a public college or university.

However, on September 2nd, 2025, the U.S. Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against Illinois, claiming that providing in-state tuition to noncitizen migrants violates federal law. The DOJ argued that Illinois is offering benefits to “illegal aliens” that are not provided to U.S. citizens from other states.

The taxpayers of Illinois should be outraged over this. They’re already overburdened.

Ireland’s deeply entrenched political establishment is facing uncomfortable questions after Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris finally admitted what ordinary citizens have been saying for years: mass migration has exacerbated—and continues to exacerbate— the country’s housing crisis.

His comments, genuine or not, mark a sharp departure from the government’s usual attempts to downplay the crisis.

Harris, a member of the globalist Fine Gael party, told reporters in Dublin that a growing population and a relentless stream of migration “correlates” with mounting pressure on limited housing stock. For most ordinary Irish citizens, this was merely an acknowledgment of what’s been obvious to them for many years.

Again, stating the obvious, he warned that Ireland risks damaging “social cohesion” if it continues importing more people than the system can sustain. Citizens struggling to find shelter naturally see these remarks as long overdue.

For years, the ruling globalist coalition argued that migration played only a minor role in the housing crisis, if any at all. Housing Minister James Browne claimed last autumn that it accounted for only a “small part” of the problem.

That phony narrative is collapsing as rent costs soar, homelessness climbs, and thousands of newly arrived, unvetted migrants are placed in hotels and in homes while Irish families remain on waiting lists. As is the case so often these days, the lived experience of voters contradicts official talking points.

Harris felt as if had to qualify his statements by insisting he was not endorsing anti-immigration arguments, but he noted that even he could not ignore the blatantly obvious strain on housing and public services. His attempt at nuance, however, did little to calm a public exhausted by spiraling costs.

He argued that Ireland’s deeper issue is the government’s inability to build infrastructure despite a booming economy. Many see this as an indictment of a political class long distracted by global agendas rather than national priorities.

Ireland has the money for expansionary budgets, according to Harris, but somehow cannot provide basic necessities like water systems, energy capacity, and housing. For citizens on decade-long waiting lists, this contradiction feels like a betrayal.

He said the “centre” must deliver faster to preserve public trust. But critics argue the so-called “centre” has long lost credibility the moment it embraced never-ending mass migration without planning for—or having any regard for—its consequences.

Across the country, frustration is rising as working families watch emergency accommodation fill with newly arrived migrants from alien cultures while locals are simply told: “be patient.” This has rightly fueled a growing sense that Irish citizens are being pushed to the back of the line.

The government’s left-liberal, globalist approach to migration has collided with the hard limits of Ireland’s housing and infrastructure—while also coinciding with troubling rises in violent crime. Even senior officials can no longer pretend these social maladies are unrelated.

Polls show rising public dissatisfaction with how the crisis has been handled. Many believe Ireland’s ‘leaders’ are more concerned with appeasing EU migration expectations than helping to make Irish lives better.

Communities already overwhelmed by rising costs now fear further strain as arrivals continue at record levels. Each new government pledge of additional accommodation only heightens local tensions.

Harris’s remarks, though measured, reflect a deeply out-of-touch political establishment scrambling to regain control of a narrative slipping from its hands as anti-establishment parties gain strength. The admission signals that denial is simply no longer politically viable.

While the deputy prime minister speaks of preserving social harmony, he doesn’t seem to grasp that harmony cannot exist in a system stretched beyond its capacity. And for a growing number of Irish voters, the solution begins with a drastic U-turn away from mass-migration policies.

The Minneapolis police chief appears to be setting the stage for some sort of showdown with federal law enforcement.

Is the chief is concerned about a widespread plot to kidnap illegal aliens Somalians?

The Gateway Pundit reported,

Police leadership in Minneapolis is urging the city’s Somali community, and other immigrant residents, to call 911 if they spot masked individuals detaining people in their neighborhoods.

At a Tuesday press conference, Brian O’Hara, Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department (MPD), warned that some masked individuals detaining people “may be kidnapping people,” saying the department had received “those reports.”

He urged community members to call 911 if they were unsure whether those enforcing arrests were legitimate law enforcement — and pledged MPD would investigate and log every such call.

He did not stop at documentation, however. “If there is anything that is … a violation of someone’s human rights or civil rights, excessive force or anything like that, they absolutely have a duty to intervene as police officers,” O’Hara declared.

Chief O’Hara’s comments come amid media reports that ICE is preparing a major enforcement operation targeting hundreds of Somali illegal immigrants in the Twin Cities region.

Perhaps there is something that the rest of us don’t know about. Is there a serial Somali-kidnapper on the loose in Minneapolis that is dressing up as law enforcement?

Is the Chief concerned that these rampant kidnappers might dress up like local police next? Maybe we will soon hear a public warning advising residents to call the police if the police show up. The question remains, how many times must one call the police before they have escaped the plot of the secret Somali kidnappers?

This is deeply unserious behavior by the police chief.

It seems he is using this absurd line of “reasoning” as justification to have some sort of clash with federal law enforcement.

Senate Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Jack Reed (D-RI) has once again proven why the radical left can’t be trusted to secure our borders or protect American lives from the fentanyl-fueled invasion at our southern flank.

During a softball interview on CNN with Dana Bash, Reed shamelessly downplayed the ruthless narco-terrorists poisoning our communities, insisting they’re just poor folks “trying to make money.”

The bombshell came amid growing scrutiny over the administration’s Operation Southern Spear, a no-holds-barred campaign that’s already obliterated multiple narco-boats loaded with deadly drugs bound for American streets.

Just last month, at the direction of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Joint Task Force Southern Spear conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization.

Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics. Three male narco-terrorists aboard the vessel were killed. The vessel was trafficking narcotics in the Eastern Pacific and was struck in international waters,” US South Com said in an X post.

But leave it to a career Democrat like Reed to spit in the face of our brave troops and the families shattered by the overdose epidemic.

When pressed by Bash on the legality and necessity of these strikes, strikes that are finally treating drug runners like the terrorists they are, Reed launched into a weepy sob story about “demand” in America and how the lowly smugglers are just hapless pawns.

“One of the factors that drives use in the United States is demand. Most narco traffickers are not in those boats. They pay people to do that. Usually, people are not significantly involved with narco traders. It’s the way they make money,” Reed said.

He added, “And rather than doing that, we should spend a lot more resources on law enforcement in the United States. They’re actually cutting that back in terms of federal intervention and also medical care and therapy that will get people off drugs and prevent them from dying because of drug addiction.”

An F-16 fighter Jet crashed in Trona, California, on Wednesday during a training exercise for the Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team. 

Thankfully, the pilot safely ejected from the aircraft, according to Nellis Air Force Base near Las Vegas, Nevada, where the team is stationed.

Video from the scene shows a large fiery plume of smoke following the crash and the pilot parachuting down from the sky.

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nevada —  On December 3, 2025, at approximately 10:45a.m., a Thunderbird pilot safely ejected from a F-16C Fighting Falcon aircraft during a training mission over controlled airspace in California.

The pilot is in stable condition and receiving follow-on care.

The incident is under investigation and further information will be released from the 57th Wing Public Affairs Office and at https://www.nellis.af.mil/News/News-Releases/.

The pilot safely ejected from the aircraft and was in stable condition, according to U.S. Air Force Sgt. Jovante Johnson. The F-16C Fighting Falcon was assigned to the Air Force Thunderbirds, an aerial acrobatic demonstration team based at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, Johnson said in an email.

The crash took place at around 10:45 a.m. during a training mission, he wrote. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

A motorist, Darren Springer, 60, said he was driving south out of Death Valley when he saw an explosion that sent up a thick plume of black smoke. “My heart sank,” he said.

The crash took place about 20 miles from the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, the Navy’s largest base and a hub for developing and testing weapons.

Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on an unhinged rant during a rally for Communist Muslim NYC Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Mamdani, a Communist Muslim born in Uganda, is running against former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.

Zohran Mamdani is a far-left radical who openly admits he will raise property taxes based on skin color – specifically, white people.

Top Democrats such as Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and New York Governor Hochul have endorsed Mamdani.

AOC and Senator Bernie Sanders, two of the most unhinged and far-left lawmakers, joined Mamdani in Queens on Sunday evening.

The theme of Mamdani’s rally, “New York is Not For Sale,” reflected his pledge to challenge the billionaires and oligarchs funding his political opponents.

The crowd chanted, “Tax the Rich!” and booed New York Governor Kathy Hochul.

She nodded in agreement and shouted, “I hear you!”

AOC took the stage and busted out a few new accents as she screamed into the microphone on Sunday evening.

AOC’s meltdown was reminiscent of Howard Dean’s “Dean Scream Speech” that ended his career during the 2004 Iowa caucuses.

“This city was built by the Irish escaping famine, Italians fleeing fascism, Jews escaping the Holocaust…” AOC shouted.

AOC continued, “Black Americans fleeing slavery and Jim Crow. Latinos seeking a better life! Native Peoples standing for themselves! Asian-Americans coming together in Queens! In Brooklyn! In the Bronx! In Manhattan! In Staten Island! In this country, in a vision to build the freest, toughest, and greatest city on earth!”

NYC voters turned out in droves on the first day of early voting.

“The New York City BOE reported a total of 79,409 early voter check-ins as the polls closed Saturday night – a sharp jump from the 15,418 who showed up when early voting began four years ago,” The New York Post reported.

“Officials said 24,046 ballots were cast in Manhattan, 22,105 in Brooklyn, 19,045 in Queens, 7,793 in the Bronx, and 6,420 in Staten Island,” the Post reported.

The case of 18-year-old Jesse Mack Butler has ignited anger and accusations of systemic failure after a “sweetheart plea deal” allowed a young man facing what could have been nearly 80 years behind bars to avoid serious prison time.

In early 2024, Butler, then 17 and a student at Stillwater Public Schools, was charged with 11 counts, including rape, attempted rape, rape by instrumentation, sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, strangulation, and domestic assault/battery by strangulation, KJRH reported.

The allegations spanned two high-school girlfriends, and court documents say one victim was left near death after being choked; another victim alleges she was strangled unconscious and that Butler even bragged he wanted to film the act, according to

Initially charged as an adult, the potential sentence at trial reportedly approached 78 years, according to KOCO News.

In a turn that has provoked outrage, Butler’s case was reclassified under Oklahoma’s “youthful offender” statute, effectively treating offenses committed as a minor with much lighter consequences.

He pleaded “no contest,” meaning he neither admitted guilt nor disputed the charges, under the deal.

While originally facing adult charges, that status change removed the possibility of a full prison sentence. The result: only one year of rehabilitation and community service in lieu of decades behind bars, the New York Post reported.

Butler’s status was changed to youthful offender after a hearing July 24. A youthful offender status usually grants rehabilitation and less severe punishment than an adult would receive. On Aug. 25, Butler pleaded no contest to the 10 counts and an additional 11th count he received for violating a protective order.

The Office of Juvenile Affairs created a rehabilitation plan and presented it to the judge Monday. The plan included more than 100 hours of community service, a curfew, no social media, daily check-ins and weekly counseling until his 19th birthday. It was approved.

The court sentenced Butler to 78 years Aug. 25, but as long as he complies with his rehabilitation plan, he will not serve any jail time.

Parents of the victims call it a slap in the face.

“It’s a complete injustice to these girls and to future victims, because unfortunately, statistically, it won’t end,” said one mother. “Not only are you giving a slap in the face to these survivors, you are potentially putting other women at risk by not holding him accountable.”

The mom of the second victim called the deal a “joke.”

“It’s not equivalent to what he did to them,” she said. “I told the DA, I don’t want him to get away with this, because I cannot know that another mother is going to have to go through what I went through,” she continued.

State Representative J. J. Humphrey (R-Choctaw) blasted the case in a statement to Fox News: “If that don’t set you on fire, your wood’s wet. You know what I mean? You’ve got a bad deal. That sets me on fire.”

“Does it absolutely smack of political favor that you’re going to erase rapes and sexual crimes so you can give this guy a slap on the wrist?” Humphrey added. “Oklahoma, better pay attention. Wake up.”

Humphrey said he intends to file a petition calling for a grand jury investigation into the Payne County District Attorney’s handling of the case.

The consequences of the Democrats’ reckless shutdown strategy became painfully clear on Sunday morning when Los Angeles International Airport, one of the busiest travel hubs in the world, was forced into a complete ground stop. 

The crisis was not caused by weather, mechanical failures, or a terrorist threat—it was caused by politics. 

After 26 days without a budget, the shutdown has pushed America’s air traffic system to the brink, grounding flights and stranding thousands of passengers because Democrats refuse to come to the table and fund essential government functions.

The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that a shortage of air traffic controllers in Southern California led to the halt in operations beginning around 8:42 a.m. Pacific Time. 

With controllers working unpaid and enduring weeks of fatigue, safety could no longer be guaranteed. 

As a result, incoming flights to LAX were stopped entirely. Passengers already in the air were rerouted, while those waiting on the ground experienced delays averaging 49 minutes, with some lasting as long as 87 minutes.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy warned that the disruption at LAX could ripple nationwide if the shutdown continues. 

The shutdown is now directly undermining the National Airspace System—the very foundation of American travel and commerce. 

Airlines, businesses, and families are paying the price for partisan games in Washington.

The blame lies squarely with Democrats, who have refused to negotiate responsibly and insist on holding critical government operations hostage to push their bloated spending priorities. 

Rather than securing our borders, funding our military, and ensuring basic government services continue uninterrupted, they are demanding billions for wasteful pet projects.

Their approach is simple: obstruct, delay, and exploit chaos to score political points against Republicans.

Republicans have repeatedly offered reasonable proposals to reopen the government while addressing national priorities, but Democrats have walked away every time. Instead of protecting the American people, they are willing to risk flight safety, national security, and the financial stability of families living paycheck to paycheck. 

The LAX ground stop is the direct result of Democrat refusal to govern responsibly.

What happened at LAX should serve as a wake-up call. 

The safety of millions of travelers cannot be gambled away because one party prefers brinksmanship to compromise. 

If Democrats truly cared about working Americans, they would end this shutdown immediately and stop using federal employees and taxpayers as pawns in their political theater.

Until then, every delayed flight, every missed connection, and every stranded passenger at airports like LAX will stand as a reminder that Democrats chose politics over people.
