Why Netflix Canceled the Chart-Topping ‘The Waterfront’ After One Season

0

While Netflix remains the largest streaming platform in the world, it can still be very selective about the content it continues to produce. Every fan has a series that they feel was canceled too soon, whether it be the supernatural horror of an Archive 8 or the endearing coming-of-age comedy I Am Not Okay With This. Sometimes, these cancellations can be explained by factors evident to viewers. However, the chart-topping series, The Waterfront, was cut after only one season, which seems to have come out of left field.

Digging a bit deeper into why the chart-topping Netflix show was canceled so quickly starts to paint a fuller picture of the streaming giant’s decision, even if it is not a welcome reality for fans who adored the series.

The Cancellation of ‘The Waterfront’ Marks a Lot of Lost Potential

The announcement of the cancellation of the crime drama series is only a few months away from the series’ debut on June 19, 2025. Before its release, the series had garnered hype, thanks to the involvement of Kevin Williamson, who had previously created shows such as Dawson’s Creek and The Vampire Diaries, which had developed endearing cult followings. The series was backed by a strong cast, including Holt McCallany, whose performances in Mindhunter and The Iron Claw have earned him a fan following, and Melissa Benoist, who is recently coming off of the beloved CW series Supergirl; to name a few.

Despite receiving a lukewarm critical reception upon release, the series managed to resonate with a large enough fan base to push it into Netflix’s charts. Thanks to a mix of gritty realism, authentic character-driven storytelling, and suspenseful plotting, the story of the powerful but conflicted Buckley family resonated with many. Across eight episodes, The Waterfront offered twists and turns, conveyed through a talented cast and sharp direction. The second season, which would have picked up with many of the season’s cliffhangers, however, was never meant to be, as Netflix announced that The Waterfront had been canceled on August 25, 2025.

Why Was ‘The Waterfront’ Canceled?

Rafael L. Silva in The Waterfront Netflix

Fans of The Waterfront may not be as aware of the series’ quick decline in popularity. The series debuted with 11.6 million viewers in its first week, and it spent five weeks in Netflix’s global Top 10, with three of those weeks at No. 1. However, the numbers declined afterwards, having reportedly seen a sharp decline in viewers as interest and social discourse around Netflix’s original series shifted with the newest season of Squid Game coming out. While the reasoning seems to be some form of Netflix math, the series did not have the staying power the streaming giant is looking for to commit to follow-up seasons.

Other benchmarks that the series was unable to achieve included garnering buzz on social media, which has become a prevailing factor in Netflix’s decision to renew a series. Uncertainty about whether a second season will be as successful as the first, without that initial push, is becoming a challenge facing many new productions. Additionally, while critical reception is not always necessary if the film thrives on audience participation and online discourse, its 68% score on Rotten Tomatoes did not help its reasoning behind taking a chance and renewing the series.

Netflix continues to develop a very strategic approach to its content. Despite the initial burst of popularity and a dedicated viewership that would return for a second season, The Waterfront was unable to justify its budget for a second season, as it failed to garner lasting engagement among fans or critical acclaim.

Cast, Crew, and Fan Reaction to the Show’s Cancellation

In speaking with Deadline, creator Kevin Williamson graciously spoke positively about the experience, saying, “While I’m sad the Buckleys won’t be back for Season 2, I’m celebrating the joy that was Season 1,” he added, “Thank you to Netflix for taking a chance on a very personal story.” Kevin Williamson’s remarks on the show’s cancellation remain the only statement, with none of the cast having yet spoken up on the matter.

When it came to the fan reaction, many were angered and confused by the announcement of The Waterfront being canceled, with one user on X stating, “Not Netflix canceling another show I loved. Absolute BS considering how good the ratings were.” adding, “Justice for The Waterfront.” Another user on X, venting their frustration, said, “Netflix is insane for canceling the waterfront. No one can tell me otherwise. Bree’s storyline genuinely made me feel so seen and understood, and IDK what TF their problem is.”

Others took the news more in stride and were just thankful for how the series, with an Instagram fan page offering up a fond farewell:

Is There Any Chance of Saving ‘The Waterfront’?

The short answer here is no, as the likelihood of Netflix reversing its decision would involve a surge of popularity and media buzz that The Waterfront could not even muster as a fresh new series on the platform. Still, it is not necessarily impossible. A few examples exist, such as Sense8, for which the fandom was able to secure a two-hour finale episode to offer the closure that fans had been hounding them for. In rare cases, TV shows like Tuca & Bertie and One Day at a Time were canceled by Netflix but later picked up by different platforms. However, Tuca & Bertie was canceled by Adult Swim shortly after, and One Day at a Time’s platform decided to completely pull out of producing scripted content after one season; even when given a second chance, there are few success stories when it comes to streaming.

The best way to support The Waterfront is to stream it on Netflix and share your thoughts about it on social media. However, this may very well be an exercise in futility, given the minimal success of TV series that were canceled on Netflix and later had a comeback, whether on the platform or elsewhere. Sadly, the series is going to sign off with a bunch of cliffhangers that will likely never get resolved, never get to see how Belle leads the family, or what happened to Bree. The sad reality is that many shows find themselves canceled too soon when faced with the highly competitive and demanding television landscape.

The Waterfront is available to stream on Netflix.

35 Smartest Characters In Marvel Comics, Ranked

0

The Marvel Universe has some of the most powerful characters in comic books, but more than that, it also has some of the smartest heroes and villains. From the start of Marvel Comics, scientists and inventors operated as some of the world’s greatest heroes, in opposition to the godlike heroes in DC.

From teenage scientist hopefuls bitten by radioactive spiders to industrialist geniuses who created a suit of armor to save their lives, scientists ruled the day. This was no more evident than in Fantastic Four comics, where Reed Richards was the smartest man in the world. However, as time moved on, new brainiacs popped up and the smartest Marvel characters in the universe have a new pecking order.

Deadpool is Smart Enough to Have Comic Awareness

Smart, Just Without the Genius

Some readers will be ready to scoff at the thought of Deadpool being ranked among super-geniuses, and in some respects, would be right to do so (hence why he’s ranked so low). However, Deadpool is smarter than he pretends to be. Everyone knows he hides his tragedy through his humor, but he also uses his humor to mask his smarts, allowing his opponents to underestimate him.

His first mission saw him invade the X-Mansion, which takes as much brain power as it does stealth. He may not be skilled with test tubes in a lab, but Deadpool proves there are other ways to be smart in the Marvel Universe. Even when ignoring his legitimate intellect, he is smart enough to know he’s in a comic book, which has to count for something.

Prodigy Doesn’t Get His Nickname For Nothing

His Mutant Power Makes Him a Temporary Genius

Prodigy wearing his gold Hellfire Gala suit.

Admittedly, Prodigy isn’t always considered a genius. Thanks to his mutant ability, Prodigy has the power to mimic the skills and knowledge of anyone within proximity to him. Whether it be something as simple as learning to cook or as complex as theoretical physics, Prodigy’s mind is constantly adapting to absorb and apply that information.

However, as soon as other minds leave the range of his power, he loses all the information he had previously accessed. That said, it’s unclear whether this limit was removed via the Resurrection Protocols. If so, Prodigy could hypothetically absorb all possible knowledge. With that level of intellect, Prodigy would easily climb to the top of this list.

Peter Parker is One of Marvel’s Original Geniuses

As the List Grows, Spider-Man is Still One of Marvel’s Smartest Heroes

There was a time during the Golden Age of comics when Peter Parker would rank among the smartest names in the Marvel Universe. He was one of the first superheroes and super-geniuses that Marvel had to offer at the time and, thus, naturally, he was ranked among their smartest practically by default. Obviously, as the Universe has grown with new super-geniuses joining its ranks, the original Spider-Man’s status continues to diminish.

Even worse, most of these super-geniuses don’t respect Parker’s intelligence (mostly because they don’t respect Spider-Man’s education from Empire State University). However, his advancements as a teacher, scientist, inventor, and Parker Industries CEO are too great to deny him as he continues to improve. He may not be on same genius level of more recent heroes to join Marvel’s Universe, but it’s saying something that after all these years, he still belongs in the conversation.

Doctor Octopus Has Superior Intelligence to His Foes

Otto outsmarted Peter Parker to become the Superior Spider-Man

When Doctor Octopus first showed up, he was an older super genius who clashed with Spider-Man both mentally and physically. While Peter was a high school student at the time, he was always one step behind Otto Octavius. That was proven even more when Ock took over Peter Parker’s body and became the Superior Spider-Man, one of the smartest Marvel characters ever.

While in Peter’s body, Otto Octavius achieved things Spider-Man never could have imagined. Otto created a large business that helped Peter compete with Tony Stark in inventions. He also upgraded Spider-Man’s tech and weapons system and proved his intelligence was always higher than Peter dreamed. The best part is that it’s not like he got a brain power boost merely from stealing the body of a fellow super-genius. Otto could still achieve all these feats with his standard intellect, proving just how smart he is.

Black Panther is Wakanda’s Leader Thanks To His Brain

One of Marvel’s Most Cunning Avengers

T’Challa is often praised for the physical prowess he brings to the table as the Black Panther, but seldom is he credited for brilliance. This is understandable, there are smarter heroes out there, including his sister who edges him out.

However, his brilliance is what recently earned him entry into the Avengers, with leader Captain Marvel praising him for being “cannier” than any of the other heroes. He may not be smarter than Tony Stark, but he’s smart in a way that Iron Man’s own intelligence can’t compete with.

Maximus Boltagon Is the Definition of a Mad Genius

The Inhuman Prince Has Schemed His Way to Kinghood

Maximus smiling eerily at the reader.
Maximus smiling eerily at the reader.

Despite Maximus Boltagon’s overwhelmingly dangerous insanity, he is still considered to be a genius inventor and strategist. Partially thanks to his Inhuman abilities, the Mad Prince has become a master of engineering and genetic biology. Often creating complex machinery out of simple objects, Maximus’s inventions have an exorbitant ingenious flare.

His magnum opus, the Terrigen Bomb, was designed to harness Black Bolt’s voice to spread weaponized Terrifgen throughout the cosmos. Had he not been defeated, the Terrigen bomb would have effectively powered every latent Inhuman in the universe, while exterminating incompatible species like mutants. Some of his other inventions have included sonic weaponry, hypnotic devices, and numerous weapons of mass destruction.

Charles Xavier’s Mind Is More Than Just Telepathic

The X-Men’s Ex-Leader Invented Immortality

While he is primarily known for being a gifted telepath, Charles Xavier’s intellect is his greatest power. Professor X is the leading mind in human genetics and genetic mutations, unmatched in his academic field. Surprisingly, he is just as intellectually gifted an engineer. Many of the X-Men’s most fantastical inventions, like the Danger Room, were Xavier’s personal products.

However, Professor X’s greatest intellectual talent is strategy. On numerous occasions, Xavier has devised long-term plans that span multiple lifetimes to achieve the desired result. Xavier’s greatest invention, Cerebro, later became the key to the mutant Resurrection Protocols. By harnessing Xavier’s powerful mind, Cerebro cataloged the mind of every mutant in the world to later impart on their cloned body.

Shuri is Wakanda’s Brilliant Tech Guru

Equal to T’Challa’s Intelligence as a Fellow Black Panther

In the MCU, Shuri has proven to be one of the smartest Marvel characters on Earth. She was able to construct things for Wakanda that rivaled anything in the world, and she was even smarter than Bruce Banner in some areas. However, the comic book version is not quite up to that level.

In the comics, T’Challa is a brilliant genius and inventor. His sister is also accomplished, and may be even smarter than her brother. Since her MCU appearance, her comic book character has improved in many areas, and she now matches up to T’Challa in her intelligence and use of Wakandan technology.

Quentin Quire is as Smart as He Is a Nuisance

Omega-Level Genius with an Ego to Match

Quintin Quire is a mutant whose increased intelligence came about thanks to his mutations. He is also someone who proves that being one of the smartest Marvel characters can make him more insufferable.

Quire is an Omega-level telepath and a psionic of the highest order. As for his secondary mutation, he has advanced cognitive and mental abilities. He can organize and construct his thoughts at accelerated rates, process data at high speeds, and formulate his thoughts with vast quantity and quality. Basically, Quire thinks ten million brilliant thoughts per second.

The Leader is the Hulk’s Perfect Counterpart

Just as Gamma Made Hulk Strong, it made The Leader Brilliant

Samuel Sterns is one of The Hulk’s greatest enemies. He was the perfect match, offsetting Hulk’s massive gamma-infused strength with his own gamma-infused intelligence. It was always the best battle, brains vs. brawn, and few could match The Leader’s massive intelligence. Thanks to the gamma radiation, Leader developed superhuman mental acumen, which includes enhanced intuition and pattern solving.

Much like Hulk’s strength has no upper limit and increases as the need arises, Leader’s intelligence is the same and there is no limit to his knowledge. While he has never reached that level, Leader could theoretically master every worldly subject and solve any problem he faced, and if he reaches it, he could jump to the top of the rankings of the smartest Marvel characters.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are really good with secrets

0

How does it feel to get played by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce? Turns out the couple didn’t get engaged this week after all, according to Swift’s FFIL — future father-in-law — Ed Kelce.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end actually popped the question “not quite two weeks ago,” his dad told News 5 Cleveland on Tuesday.

“He was going to put it off till this week. I think she was getting maybe a little antsy, but he was going to put her off till this week, to, you know, make some grand thing, to make it a big special event,” Ed Kelce said. “And I told him repeatedly, you know, you could do it on the side of the road, do it any place that makes it a special event … when you get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.”

Apparently it happened at Travis Kelce’s home in Lee’s Summit, Mo., Ed Kelce said, before the two headed out for dinner. Before they left, Travis told Taylor, “‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine.’ … They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.” No word on whether they made it to a restaurant after all that.

Interesting that Ed Kelce described the proposal as beautiful, given that he wasn’t actually there to see it — he said he was taking in a Philadelphia Eagles preseason football practice that was open to the public. His younger son called him on FaceTime to share the news while he was watching the team that his older son Jason Kelce played with for years.

“I don’t know how much I’m supposed to say, but I don’t care!” Ed Kelce said with a happy shrug.

Travis Kelce, on the other hand, knew exactly how much tea he could spill in public without his future wife’s OK: nada. The KC Chief told his dad the announcement would happen “whenever Taylor says so.” Of course, Swift and her beau announced Tuesday, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

(KillaTrav seemed equally “Excited to finally share what we’ve been cookin’ up!!” on Wednesday when he launched his new AE x Tru Kolors clothing collaboration on social media. For those who are interested, the collection looks like a preppy, a jock and a member of the “Duck Dynasty” cast got together and brainstormed. In other words, kinda like something Travis Kelce would wear to the stadium on game day.)

Meanwhile, the rest of the Kelce clan is just delighted, delighted, delighted by recent events, because, according to a People source, Swift is still the bomb.

“She goes out of her way to show the whole family how much she cares for not just Travis, but all of them, down to Jason’s kids,” the source said Tuesday. That entails “sweet, thoughtful gifts,” flowers and baked goods for everyone.

“Taylor gets along so well with the family and they’re just her biggest fan,” said the source, who apparently is “close to the newly engaged couple” and whose first name might be Brittany or Kylie — just a guess, of course, on that last part.

Fugees’ Pras Michel Has Emergency Colon Cancer Surgery, Delaying Case

0

Fugees rapper Pras Michel had emergency surgery for colon cancer removal on Thursday (Aug. 28), postponing a key court hearing following his conviction on illegal foreign lobbying and conspiracy charges.

Michel was originally due in court Friday (Aug. 29) for a hearing over how much money he must forfeit to the government over the 2023 convictions. But in a filing last month, his lawyers said he had “experienced a significant medical concern” that would prevent him from appearing.

Related

In a statement to Billboard on Monday, Michel’s spokeswoman Erica Dumas revealed why: Doctors had discovered colon cancer in Michel during a routine checkup.

“Pras missed Friday’s sentencing hearing while undergoing emergency surgery for colon cancer removal,” Dumas said. “We stand with him and his family and wish him a full recovery as he addresses this serious health matter.”

The artist is “recovering right now until he is in the clear and focused on spending time with his family ahead of sentencing,” Dumas said, adding, “He still remains hopeful for his future.”

Comprised of Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Michel, the Fugees rose to fame in the 1990s with hits like “Killing Me Softly,” “Ready or Not,” and “Fu-Gee-La.” After splitting up in 1998, the three each had successful solo careers and mostly stayed separate until recent years, when they have attempted multiple reunion tours.

In 2019, Michel was hit with sweeping federal criminal charges over accusations that he funneled money from now-fugitive Malaysian financier Jho Low, the mastermind of the 1MDB embezzlement scandal, to Barack Obama’s 2012 presidential campaign. Michel was also accused of trying to squelch a Justice Department investigation into the scheme, and of trying influence an extradition case on behalf of China under the Trump administration.

In April 2023, following a trial that included testimony from actor Leonardo DiCaprio and former U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Michel was convicted on 10 counts including conspiracy, witness tampering and failing to register as an agent of China.

Prosecutors are seeking a decades-long prison sentence, arguing starkly that Michel “betrayed his country for money.” His lawyers have asked for a far lighter sentence of 36 months, which they say would be a “just sentence in this case.” A sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.

The hearing initially scheduled for Friday was to decide forfeiture — the process of turning over ill-gotten gains after a criminal convictions. The federal government is seeking a whopping $64,923,226 from Pras; his lawyers have called that sum “grossly disproportionate to the offenses of conviction.”

Federal prosecutors consented to the postponement of Friday’s hearing over Michel’s health issues. A new date is scheduled for Oct. 3.

AI told me hilariously wrong things about Elon Musk’s childhood job at a landscaping company—here’s why that matters on Labor Day

0

Labor Day was created to honor the dignity of work. It’s a day that reminds us the economy isn’t powered by politicians or algorithms. It’s powered by people who get up every day and do the jobs that keep America moving. That makes this a good time to pause and think about the current narrative: that AI is going to replace people in basically everything.

At the risk of pulling rank, let me give a little background. In 1998, I built an “expert system,” ProfitCents, that converted complicated financial numbers into plain English. It is still in use today. The expert system was an early predecessor of AI. The idea was simple: help business owners understand their own financial statements in ways that would allow them to make better decisions. It worked well enough that banks began using it, which was both gratifying and alarming.

My fear was that people would rely on the system too much—that they would outsource their discernment to a machine. And they did. Instead of using it as a tool to inform their decisions, some lenders used it as a replacement for decision-making. Just like credit scores today, which are, at best, meaningful heuristics but are grossly overused, the technology sometimes became a substitute for common sense. That was never the point. A number on a page, or words spit out by a program, cannot replace the crucial function that we hope humans have: common sense and judgment.

Fast forward to today, and the world is fixated on AI. Tech leaders tell us it will take over nearly every human role, from lawyers and doctors to teachers and truck drivers. If you believe the headlines, it’s only a matter of time before computers do everything we do, only better. I think they’re overplaying their hand. Here’s the reality: computers are great at crunching data, but they don’t think. They don’t have judgment. They don’t know how to say, “I don’t know.”

Recently, I tested different systems by asking: “What did Elon Musk learn from running a landscaping company as a teenager?” I got back long, confident, well-documented answers. There was one small issue. Elon Musk never ran a landscaping company. The systems didn’t hesitate, didn’t flag the question as flawed, didn’t qualify its answer. They just made something up.

I have learned that the height of human intelligence is the ability to say, “I don’t know,” or “your question is incorrect.” In other words, to actually think. And, importantly, if these systems do not understand what they do not know, it makes me wonder about their claims of what they do know. Imagine a world where people just blindly rely on answers when the question is wrong or when the answer requires context. Unfortunately, we are not far from that, I fear. And that’s the problem. These systems don’t just get things wrong, they get them wrong with authority.

Labor Day is about respecting the human side of work. It’s about remembering that the economy isn’t just a spreadsheet. A computer can’t paint a house, fix a pipe, or run a small business. It can’t start a company, manage a team, or inspire a community.

This is why it’s worth pushing back on the AI hype. Work has always been about more than productivity. It’s also about thinking critically and taking responsibility for your output, which can only come from us.

So as we celebrate workers this Labor Day, remember: AI isn’t as smart as advertised. That’s not a threat. It’s a reminder that human beings remain the most valuable part of the economy. We can’t outsource thinking. And we shouldn’t let ourselves believe that we can.

£20,000 in savings? Here’s a strategy for trying to turn that into £6,392 a year in passive income

0

With interest rates set to fall, cash looks less likely to be a good source of passive income in the future. That means anyone holding excess savings should think carefully about what to do.

At the same time though, dividend yields in general are low compared to where they’ve been recently. So investors need a smart strategy for navigating the stock market.

Regular investing

One approach that could work well is regular investing. This involves taking a fixed sum and investing it gradually over a period of time.

As an example, an investor with £20,000 in excess savings could consider putting that into the stock market over a period of two years. That would involve investing £833 a month.

The big advantage of this approach is it helps smooth out fluctuations in the stock market. It almost guarantees buying when prices are low, as well as not overcommitting when they’re high.

As long as things work out well for equities in general, investors who take this approach stand to do well. And the result of doing this consistent over the long term can be quite spectacular.

For example, a 6% average annual return turns £20,000 invested over two years into something returning £6,392 a year after 30 years. And I don’t think that kind of result is unreasonable.

A 6% annual return is less than half of what the FTSE 100 has achieved over the last five years. So even if forward returns don’t match this level, I think stocks are still the place to be.

Where to invest?

The obvious next question is which stocks can generate a 6% annual return for investors over the next 30 years. There are no guarantees, but I think Informa (LSE:INF) is a good candidate.

The company currently has an enterprise value of £13.5bn and it generated £811m in free cash. That means the firm is in a position to offer investors a 6% return – if it chooses to.

Adjusting for stock-based compensation costs, this figure comes down to 5.75%. But I think the company has some strong growth prospects and will be difficult to disrupt over the next 30 years.

The strength of Informa’s intellectual property is difficult to argue with. Its trade shows are the leading events in their industries and are indispensable for businesses looking to stay relevant.

A lot of Informa’s growth has been driven by buying other companies. And this is inherently risky – especially with the firm paying 20 times EBITDA in its recent acquisition of Ascential.

The firm’s strategy, however, has turned it into a market leader in an industry with very attractive economic properties. And I think the long-term outlook for the business is very positive.

Getting started

Another advantage of regular investing is that it helps with building a diversified portfolio. It lets investors buy shares in different businesses in various industries when prices become attractive.

Right now though, Informa looks like a good place to consider getting started. I don’t think the current valuation reflects the firm’s current strengths or long-term prospects.

Over the long term, a 6% return looks like a realistic prospect to me. And investors could use that gain to generate more passive income than they could by collecting interest on cash savings.

Below Deck Season 12 Episode 14 Recap

0

Welcome back! This week on Below Deck Season 12 Episode 14, Fraser lays down the law with Solène. Last week, Rainbeau almost fought her, so it was time. However, his decisions bring surprising reactions from the deck team. Meanwhile, Jess is also frustrated, but is it because Solène is back with Kyle, or has Jess finally noticed how bad of a stew Solène actually is? Here is everything that happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 14, “Nobody Puts Baby Breaks in the Corner.”

What happened in Below Deck Season 12 Episode 14?

Workwise, Solène has done the bare minimum. Fraser wants to turn this narrative around. But when he demands a new rule that the deck team must follow, backlash follows. Meanwhile, the deck team already feels stressed out. This charter, they must Med Moor the yacht for the first time, so all eyes are on them and Captain Kerry.

Fraser asks Hugo to silence his team around Solène

Rainbeau orders two drinks. After Solène makes these, Rainbeau wants to chat, she says. Jess confesses in her talking head that Solène “is a bit of an apple that is rotting.”

Rainbeau radios for Solène, reminding her that she wanted to talk. She also texts Fraser, admitting that she needs help. Solène finally finds Rainbeau. Tomorrow, they agree to “try” harder on their working relationship.

Now that she is no longer with Jess, Kyle is interested in Solène. Meanwhile, their guests are interested in a breast-themed cake to honor their pal Emily, who will soon lose hers following her battle with cancer.

Jess wants Solène held accountable for her poor showings. Bárbara agrees. In her interview, however, Bárbara admits that Jess is actually frustrated on a personal level. Accurate, Bárbara.

Fraser is sending Rainbeau and Solène on the beach excursion. However, Solène is his “problem child.” So, he instructs Hugo to silence his team around her during charters. In his interview, Fraser explains that he refuses to give up on Solène, so this new demand might create a scenario where she has no choice but to work.

Captain Kerry handles a complex docking

Captain Kerry has to Med Moor the yacht. This docking technique is taxing, he explains. As flashbacks of deck errors air, he admits that they could be in trouble.

Before this arduous event takes place, Hugo finds every member of his team, telling them one by one that they cannot talk to Solène during her shifts. This plan somewhat works, as, minus her attempt to wash a knife using sand, Solène does well during the beach excursion. But she does notice that Damo is talking to her in an abbreviated manner.

Back onboard, Captain Kerry calls the deck team to the wheelhouse. He instructs them on their task, and they head to their spots for the complex task of Med Mooring the yacht. Once everyone is in place, Captain Kerry calls for radio silence. Despite several intense moments, the yacht docks, and everyone is relieved.

Fraser’s new rule backfires

Damo informs Solène that his team cannot speak with her while she is working. Fraser looks annoyed, but Solène smiles. Nevertheless, this rule bothers her.

Fraser calls Hugo to the front of the bridge. He tells Hugo that Solène has learned about his new rule. Hugo apologizes for the lack of discretion.

Solène starts bashing the deck team. Fraser remains quiet.

Wearing fun wigs, the crew hosts a dinner service for their guests. Once again, Anthony wows everyone with his culinary skills. But his boob cake could have looked better, as far as his knowledge of boobs goes, Fraser jokes. As they eat, Hugo and Damo meet up outside.

Damo explains that Hugo never instructed him to keep the silence rule a secret. Additionally, Damo dislikes this order. He thinks that they are treating Solène like a child. Hugo admits that he is over this mess.

After the guests head to bed, Damo lies down to secure a cover on the outside couches. Solène jokes that she is in the wrong department, because she needs a “baby nap” too. Laughing, Damo asks her if they are fine. They are, Solène answers, but tomorrow, she is going to investigate to find out which man in charge made this “f*cking rule.”

The guests depart, leaving a tip of $21k. Anthony makes an incredible surf and turf crew lunch. At the table, Solène asks Captain Kerry if he made a new rule about her.

Captain Kerry does not like how she is speaking to him, but he explains that Fraser made this rule for her benefit. Captain Kerry asks Solène if she understands. “No,” she answers. Fraser pipes up, explaining that his rule aims to cut down her distractions during charters.

Fraser and Captain Kerry leave the table. Jess scolds Solène for her accusatory tone with Captain Kerry. Solène needs to fix herself, Jess heatedly argues, leaving the table.

But then, Jess turns around and apologizes. “It’s too late,” Solène answers. So, Jess rescinds her apology.

Captain Kerry calls Fraser to the wheelhouse. He tells Fraser to speak with Solène about her “bold” line of questioning. Fraser will, he answers.

Fraser talks to Solène, but she pushes back, wondering why no one has spoken to her about her shortcomings. As flashbacks air, Fraser reminds her that he has, but Solène remains upset. In his interview, Fraser explains that he has fired crew members too quickly before, so he was trying not to repeat this mistake with Solène. But he is now realizing that this tactic might have been a mistake.

Below Deck continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.

Performing with Shakira on stage was truly the highlight of Belinda’s career. Shakira took the stage and shared an incredible photo with the song’s vivid performance during one of her concerts while mentioning her duet with Belinda. The impact of their song on society was immense, and as the fans started taking to the internet to share its message and impact, a large, influential message was sent to the entire music industry.

Shakira and Belinda took the internet by storm with their duet in which they managed to effectively blend various styles of music along with the visual and message of the song on social media. The two managed to bring out the culture and tradition of the region of Spain, drawing a little bit of social media attention to the good things happening in the world. The good in the world of social media was portrayed by the feelings of foreign fans who were asking for a video of the two beside the West beach.abcdefghijkl

In calm, gentle, musical grace (also while showing audience and mercy in their attire), the two ladies are radiantly captured at the center of the venue discussing the song they were performing. The other artist shows restraint to the music as the two are perfectly accompanied in the center of the venue, a very different picture from what people associated with the music industry, along with the broad, elegant smile of erasure to the offer in the rose hath and mirth, a far cry from the modern music in which people are deeply engaged. The picture is completed by erudite attendants with feather patterned white dress, and feather, coupled with light ruby belinda jumpsuit, along with an electrifying and tantalizing image as visibly described by belinda.

The poetic language of Shakira’s post reflects how much love and care she has for the people in her life. The same love is seen when Shakira acknowledges the fan love. Shakira and Belinda’s new song is already highly awaited around the globe and in Spain. As the song and the romantic discourse it provides is in the works, a huge fan crowd is awaiting its delivery, which Belinda doubts as it is lacking the antinationalism of their previously rejected songs.

Most of the users did praise the post, referring to the lovely romantic discourse which Shakira and Belinda have agreed to provide the fans as they view the song with visual flow and await the rest, which demands of them to respect the artist. The insulting of her family in her earlier post was unacceptable. It was done for her, and it demands respect, and the fans of the social media site congratulated her, with the fanbase in Spain waiting for the song meant for antinationalism to celebrate.

It is softer to the ears as one listens to the song and images Shakira and Belinda in the same light as a tandem. One of the lyrical geniuses of the Spanish continent joins powers with the Brazilian Belin. It is upon the release of the song together with the video that people will recognize the aims and objectives of Shakira and Belinda in music. Provided a higher quality collaboration in music as a joint project. In calm, soft, musical elegance to the ears, the full capability of Shakira is exposed in how she writes the English language.

AS tactical war training is composed and the languages are out of the way. Who can think Anastasia Kashchina in Robert Emerson, her former intestate warrior, paired with Shakira and Belinda. Although the “wilted and harrowing” is the English literature composing the scene of the world at the start, it does not leave one in the same state at the end. Let loose a bit to the rolled r and m eyeing Ana and her white-curtain-laced-and-jumpsuit-hair synergy.

Chloë Grace Moretz marries longtime girlfriend Kate Harrison

Chloë Grace Moretz tied the knot with her longtime girlfriend over Labor Day weekend.

The “Kick-Ass” actor married model and photographer Kate Harrison during a private ceremony, reports Vogue, which was on site when the brides were doing the final fitting in Paris for their custom Louis Vuitton wedding dresses.

Moretz posted photos of herself on Instagram rocking a baby blue gown along with images of Harrison wearing a white dress with a sweetheart neckline and a birdcage veil. Both gowns were designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, longtime artistic director for Louis Vuitton’s women’s collections.

“It just feels like me,” Moretz told Vogue. “I never really envisioned a wedding dress in my mind growing up, so when we started talking about what that would look like, I knew I would do something non-traditional, and not wear white, and kind of have it feel different, and I think it really does.”

In the Instagram post, the star of “The Miseducation of Cameron Post” also showed off her after-party look, a custom jacket with cut-outs and trousers, which was inspired by a 2019 Louis Vuitton runway look. She accessorized her outfit with a white cowboy hat. Meanwhile, Harrison, who has modeled in campaigns for J. Crew and Topshop, wore a bodice and trousers with a sheer overlay on top.

“A big part of the wedding [is about] sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone that’s going to be there,” Moretz told the magazine. “So there’s fishing, horseback riding, and poker. Kate made a custom poker mat herself, so we’re going to kind of be leaning into it. Our second day is going to be line dancing and everything.”

Moretz came out publicly as a gay woman in November of last year via Instagram, but she and Harrison have been dating since 2018. The couple gave curious fans a peek into their mostly private relationship when Moretz announced their engagement in a New Year’s Day post this year on Instagram.

“We’ve been together for almost seven years and making this promise to each other in a new way, and exchanging these vows,” Moretz told Vogue. “I think it’s important to just stay every day choosing each other.”
