Cardi B may have found a new love, but is it a forever deal? The “I Like It” hitmaker was spotted at a May 2025 New York Knicks game with athlete Stefon Diggs — and they were even caught holding hands. So, fans of Cardi are naturally wondering if she and Stefon are still together to this day.

Previously, Cardi was in an on-and-off relationship with her estranged husband, Offset, whom she filed for divorce from in late 2024. The exes had a tumultuous relationship after getting married in 2020, with infidelity accusations being hurled between them. Although the “WAP” rapper filed for divorce in 2024, it’s unclear how close they are to finalizing their split. In April 2025, though, Cardi shared a negative update about Offset, claiming he was harassing her and her boyfriend, whom she did not name.

“You’ve been harassing me and harassing the man that I’ve been dealing with for months already,” Cardi said in an X Spaces conversation. “Every time he knows that I go out of town he harasses me. He leaves me voice notes trying to pull my self-esteem to the ground and I’m so tired of it.”

Below, find out whether Cardi is still dating Stefon.

Who Is Stefon Diggs?

Stefon is a football wide receiver for the NFL. He has played for several big-league teams: the Minnesota Vikings, the Buffalo Bills, the Houston Texas and the New England Patriots.

Though his past relationship history is unclear, Stefon is a father to a daughter.

As of May 2025, Stefon has a net worth of $60 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

What Team Does Stefon Diggs Play for?

Stefon currently plays for the New England Patriots.

Are Cardi B & Stefon Diggs Dating?

Cardi went Instagram official with Stefon in late May 2025 by including a PDA photo of them in a carousel post. Previously, they confirmed their romance when they held hands and got close during the New York Knicks’ game against the Boston Celtics in May 2025. At one point, Stefon was photographed with his arm around Cardi, and he gave her a sweet kiss on the head while she smiled and laughed with him.

This wasn’t the first time that Cardi and Stefon were spotted together. According to multiple outlets, the duo first sparked romance rumors in October 2024, and they were seen on a Valentine’s Day dinner date in February 2025.

Outstanding gardens named the most beautiful walk in the UK | Travel News | Travel

0

The UK is home to plenty of breathtaking locations, and some of the most well-loved are best explored by foot. Whether it’s wandering along the more rural and rugged Jurassic Coast, or taking in the sights in the UK’s most walkable city, one stroll has officially been named the most beautiful in the country.

New research from CEWE has revealed the UK’s most beautiful walk after comparing Google reviews left by users around the country. Looking for reviews that described routes using terms including beautiful, stunning, amazing and lovely, the photo printing company was able to determine that Mount Stewart in Northern Ireland is home to the country’s most beautiful walk.

Receiving a total of 259 reviews that described it as beautiful, the 19th-century estate was acquired by the National Trust in the 1970s, and is considered home to one of the most outstanding gardens in the world.

Located on Strangford Lough in County Down, Great British Gardens describes the grounds as resembling an Italian villa landscape, and it even boasts rhododendrons that grow to a tree-like size.

From July until September, there’s also a mass display of 700 giant Himalayan lilies, that are kept company by thousands of smaller oriental flowering lilies, believed to be the largest collection of the flower planted in a garden in Ireland.

A number of beautifully landscaped and themed gardens, including The Shamrock Garden which features creatures from Irish mythology, the property is also home to 10 miles of walking trails that wind through farmland and woodland.

Ideal for a family day out, the Rhododendron Hill is home to the native red squirrels and the 10 miles of trails also feature a natural play area.

Speaking of the property, one Tripadvisor user said: “From my very first visit a number of years ago I was spellbound and enchanted by the location, the walks, the wildlife and the serenity and peace afforded every visitor.”

Free parking is available to those visiting Mount Stewart, and the closest train station is Bangor. Prices for adults start at £15 and £7.50 for a child.

Family tickets are also available for £37.50, and children under 5 can visit for free. The trails and formal garden are open to the public daily from 10am – 5pm.

Walmart Deals 2025 are live with a bunch of anti-Prime Day sales to shop now

0

Amazon Prime Day is usually met with competing sales from other retailers, and this year is no different. Walmart’s summer sale is back this year, competing with Prime Day and running for an extra two days. You can shop the sale at Walmart from July 8 through July 13, snagging discounts on all sorts of things including tech.

While Engadget covers all of the best Prime Day deals we can find, we also recognize that not everyone has a Prime membership — and many simply do not want to shop at Amazon. If you fall into either of those camps, you will be able to find some of the best Prime Day deals matched at Walmart. Most of these deals are available to everyone, too — no Walmart Plus membership required as of July 8. Here, we’ve collected the best Walmart Deals savings we could find, and we’ll continue to update this post throughout the event as we discover new discounts.

Also, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the Nintendo Switch 2. Not because it’s discounted at Walmart (that’s too good to be true, unfortunately), but Walmart+ members get exclusive access to a new drop of Switch 2 consoles for purchase at 7pm ET on July 7.

Apple MacBook Air (13-inch, M1) for $599 ($50 off): The M1 Air has been long gone from Apple’s own site, but it’s still a more than capable laptop for anyone looking for a solid, all-purpose machine. We still recommend springing for an M3 or M4 machine instead, but if you’re on a budget, this deal will be hard to beat.

Roku Express HD streaming device for $17 ($12 off): If you’re simply looking for an affordable streamer to upgrade an aging TV, the Roku Express HD could fit the bill. It plays HD-quality content and gives you access to every major streaming platform including HBO Max, Disney+, Prime Video and others. It’ll tuck away behind your set nicely and it supports headphone mode, which lets you connect headphones to the Roku mobile app for private listening and viewing from your TV.

Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones for $298 ($101 off): While the XM6 headphones are the latest and greatest, they only make small changes to the already stellar XM5. These were our top pick for the best wireless headphones for a long time before the XM6 launched earlier this year, and we still like them for their excellent sound quality, strong ANC, multi-device connectivity and good battery life.

Google TV Streamer 4K for $84 ($16 off): Our top favorite streaming device, the Google TV Streamer 4K is basically a souped-up Chromecast with 4K content support, an easy to use interface and a great remote control.

Hisense 75-inch U6H ULED 4K smart TV for $448 (36 percent off): This Quantum Dot TV can reach 600 nits at peak brightness across its 48 local dimming zones. It supports Dolby Vision and Atmos, HDMI 2.1 inputs for a better gaming experience and it has the Google Assistant built in for voice control.

Samsung 32-inch Smart Monitor M5 for $199 ($100 off): Not only will this be a good monitor for your home office setup, but it also acts as a full smart TV, too. Its interface gives you access to platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube and others, and it also comes with a SmartThings IoT hub built in so you can connect and control things like smart lights directly from the monitor.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 for $129 (47 percent off): While it’s an older model, we generally like Samsung Galaxy Watches and they’re arguably the best smartwatches for Samsung phone users. The Galaxy Watch 6 has good all-day activity tracking and sleep monitoring, plus heart rate tracking, personalized health insights and more.

Razer Kraken Hello Kitty & Friends Bluetooth headset for $47 (47 percent off): Razer makes excellent gaming accessories and this Hello Kitty & Friends version of the popular Kraken headset might be just what you were looking for to add more personality into your Twitch stream outfits. Aside from the cute design, it supports Bluetooth 5.0, comes with 40mm drivers and sports a beamforming microphone.

MSI Thin A15 gaming laptop (15.6-inch, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) for $649 (37 percent off): Along with a Ryzen processor, this MSI gaming laptop sports a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU and a 144Hz screen, and it comes in at just about 4 pounds in weight.

PlayStation 5 Slim Astro Bot bundle for $453 ($106 off): This version of the console has a disc drive and comes with 1TB of storage, plus the ever-popular Astro Bot game.

Federal Judge Blocks Big Beautiful Bill From Defunding Planned Parenthood

US District Judge Indira Talwani has issued a temporary restraining order blocking the defunding of Planned Parenthood that was included in Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Judge Talwani wrote:

Upon consideration of Plaintiffs’ Emergency Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order and Preliminary Injunction [Doc. No. 4] and accompanying memorandum of law and supporting declarations, and finding good cause shown, it is hereby ORDERED that the request for a Temporary Restraining Order is GRANTED.

It is further ORDERED that:

1. Defendants, their agents, employees, appointees, successors, and anyone acting in concert or participation with Defendants are hereby enjoined from enforcing, retroactively enforcing, or otherwise applying the provisions of Section 71113 of “An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14,” against Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its members; Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts; and Planned Parenthood Association of Utah;

2. Defendants, their agents, employees, appointees, successors, and anyone acting in concert or participation with Defendants shall take all steps necessary to ensure that Medicaid funding continues to be disbursed in the customary manner and timeframes to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its members; Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts; and Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.

3. Plaintiffs shall promptly serve this Temporary Restraining Order on Defendants electronically or by another manner authorized by Fed. R. Civ. P. 5(b)(2). Within 72 hours of such service, Defendants shall provide a copy of this Temporary Restraining Order to all personnel within the Department of Health and Human Services and all state agencies involved with the disbursement of Medicaid funding.

4. Defendants shall file a status report with the Court confirming Defendants’ compliance within 96 hours of service of this order. This Temporary Restraining Order shall remain in effect for fourteen days, unless vacated, modified or extended by the court.

IT IS SO ORDERED.

The Republican legislation attempted to defund Planned Parenthood by blocking Medicaid patients from receiving healthcare services at Planned Parenthood. Abortion care is already not allowed on Medicaid, so what Republicans have defunded in the name of “life” are healthcare services for women.

A provision singling out a single provider appears to be completely illegal, and the restraining order is hopefully the first step in making sure that Planned Parenthood can provide the services that women need.

What do you think about the restraining order being granted? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Meta poaches Apple Intelligence executive

0

Apple Intelligence team sees leadership departure

Apple’s internal leadership restructuring around AI and ML continues after Meta’s industry-wide poaching program snipes a top executive from the Apple Intelligence team.

Meta has been struggling to do anything impactful with its AI platform. It’s another significant dud after the dramatic name change in pursuit of the still-fictional metaverse, and now the company is throwing money at the problem in hopes of catching up with the AI industry.

Apple is the latest company affected by industry-wide poaching efforts from Meta. According to Bloomberg, the head of Apple’s foundation models team, Ruoming Pang, has been poached by Meta with a significant pay package.

The Foundation Model team will now be run by Zhifeng Chen, with multiple managers reporting to them. New managers in this structure allegedly include Chong Wang, Zirui Wang, Chung-Cheng Chiu, and Guoli Yin.

Apple’s alleged brain drain

The language of the article has the usual breathless excitement of yet another Apple executive departure — painting a picture of woe and failure within the company. However, beyond the poaching from Meta via a pay package worth tens of millions of dollars per year, there’s little more than hearsay from anonymous tipsters and speculation on the environment at Apple.

There’s a suggestion that Pang’s departure could be a sign that Apple’s AI teams could be on the brink of crumbling. People familiar with the matter suggest that Apple employees have even discussed leaving Apple at an indeterminate time for Meta or elsewhere.

The language around a report on Tom Gunter’s departure was similar. There’s a suggestion that Apple has an AI brain drain that it can’t salvage after repeated blunders.

Meta is allegedly paying significantly more to AI engineers versus Apple. That, and there are rumors from more anonymous folk about disgruntled employees within the company.

Smartphone with three camera lenses and logo, against a colorful, abstract, glowing background with yellow, red, orange, and purple patterns.
Apple Intelligence is used across iOS and other platforms

Apparently, Apple’s discussions with Anthropic and OpenAI about bringing private and secure versions of their models to Private Cloud Compute sparked frustration within the company. There’s some rumor, however unlikely, that Apple would even abandon Apple Intelligence as a Siri backend, which Pang’s team was working on.

As usual, it’s the trademark doom cycle for Apple. Every departure, poaching, and disgruntled employee is somehow a sign of some kind of rot that’s killing the fruit instead of the turnover expected at big companies.

Don’t fall into the doom cycle

The reality is that there are thousands of employees at these tech companies. They’re people with bills to pay, goals, hopes, and frustrations like everyone else.

Apple is a terribly difficult environment to work in. While rewarding, it’s secretive, and Apple has been known to not pay as much as competitors, hoping the merit of working for Apple is enough draw.

Engineers, especially in the AI space, like having their work published. It’s valuable and gives them bargaining powers in the dynamic workspace.

Running track lanes with numbers 1 to 6 on red surface, overlaid with colorful overlapping geometric logos.
Apple Intelligence isn’t running the same AI race

Meta’s pursuit of another possibly fictional technology, the so-called “AI Superintelligence,” is a boon for engineers looking to rake in some well-deserved cash and recognition for their work. While Pang has been with Apple since 2022, previously at Alphabet, the company will surely push on without him and whoever else decides to take Meta’s massive offers.

Apple’s approach to AI has been different from its competitors so far. Inwardly, there’s surely some frustration at the reporting on how terrible Apple Intelligence apparently is, but outwardly, the company continues to push the narrative that it’s running a different race.

While Apple Intelligence improves with time, inevitably catching up with the other AI companies that have hit a reasoning ceiling, the company is giving users an abundance of options. Apple’s power in AI and all technology isn’t bound to a single entity within the company or a single technology like AI — it’s bound to the ecosystem of products and its ability to provide access to private and secure technologies.

So, instead of getting on the doom cycle, let’s celebrate the potential of what’s going on with Apple and AI. Soon, we could get contextual Apple Intelligence, Siri powered by an LLM backend, and the ability to use third-party models via Private Cloud Compute.

How ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Sets up the Future of the ‘Jurassic’ Franchise

0

Jurassic World Rebirth stormed into cinemas on July 2, 2025, roaring with ambition and promising a bold new chapter in the saga. Departing from the global dinosaur spectacle of Jurassic World Dominion, the latest installment refocuses on a stealthy, tactical mission led by Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) and a diverse team including Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey. The team’s objective is to secure dinosaur DNA with life-saving pharmaceutical potential. However, what they discover is far darker. A clandestine experiment has yielded mutant dinosaurs hiding behind walls of secrecy, shifting the franchise’s tone into uneasy sci-fi territory.

Under the direction of Gareth Edwards and crafted by screenwriter David Koepp, Rebirth blends intense action, practical effects, and moral complexity. Building on the legacy set by Dominion, Rebirth seems intent on resetting the franchise’s direction entirely. From mutated creatures to new heroes, and its blend of horror and science fiction, the film feels much more than another sequel. It almost feels like Rebirth is laying the groundwork for a new Jurassic universe. Could this be Universal’s bold new path forward?

Are Mutant Dinosaurs the Future of the ‘Jurassic’ Franchise?

They Shouldn’t Be a Gimmick

Read Our Review

From the moment the camera pans on the terrifying D-Rex and the screeching ptero-raptor hybrids known as Mutadons, Rebirth signals a tonal shift, one that steers the franchise into sci-fi territory in ways previously unexplored. These mutated dinosaurs stem not from cloning mishaps but from direct, covert experimentation. The chilling new species introduced in the film suggests a clear departure from the series’ grounded science into more experimental, horror-tinged territory. Speaking to GamesRadar+, director Gareth Edwards himself admitted:

“I guess we sort of pushed it a little bit further on this one. I kept waiting for [producer] Frank Marshall to tap me on the shoulder and say, ‘This is a family movie, Gareth.’…I think we just pushed it a little bit harder than before, and I was kind of amazed that we were allowed to go that far.”

This fresh horror-meets-sci-fi angle does more than just visually expand the franchise. It works to set up potential narrative spin-offs. With these mutants quarantined to an off-limits island, there is enough space for stories involving rogue scientists, more black-market DNA, and moral dilemmas about what qualifies as a living creature in the Jurassic world. Rebirth itself delves into this. Characters stumble upon hidden labs and long-abandoned research outposts that suggest decades of unethical experimentation, leaving plenty of thematic threads to explore.

That said, some critics have questioned whether this pivot is a bold reinvention or franchise overreach. As a result, the film has been receiving mixed reviews. If Universal wants this mutant subgenre to be a lasting pillar, the studio will likely need to invest in deeper world-building, focusing on scientific logic, ethical stakes, and plausible consequences. With the right development, these engineered beasts could drive a whole new Jurassic mythology. However, without it, they risk becoming little more than thrilling, toothy gimmicks.

Can the New Team Anchor a ‘Jurassic’ Reboot?

Universal Pictures

Stepping into the spotlight, Scarlett Johansson’s Zora becomes one of the franchise’s sharpest and most capable protagonists. Accompanied by Mahershala Ali’s morally grounded captain and Jonathan Bailey’s enthusiastic paleontologist, the film stakes its survival on character-driven drama as much as dinosaur mayhem. Each cast member brings a distinct voice. While Zora embodies disciplined resolve, Bailey’s Henry adds nerdy curiosity, and Ali’s Duncan brings a quiet conscience. Their chemistry and tactical dynamics refresh the franchise, giving audiences new emotional roots to invest in.

Both the (relatively) grounded tone of Rebirth and its strong character ensemble have received positive feedback from critics. In fact, the film shines brightest when it slows down to foster human connection, as seen in scenes where Henry cradles a dinosaur egg and Zora leans into her protective instincts. These moments give Jurassic World Rebirth a sense of heart and meaning that extends beyond the monster scenes.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Gets a Terrifying Reality Check From Cloning Scientist

A specialist from Colossal Biosciences weighs in on the reality of cloning dinosaurs à la ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ and… Whoa.

Additionally, the talented new cast also represents opportunities for spin-offs and standalone arcs. It becomes easy to imagine narratives where Zora’s clean-up unit confronts abandoned labs, or Henry leads excavation digs in historically rich fossil sites, each with mutated dino tangents. However, caution remains key. Universal must commit to more fleshed-out character arcs, rather than just franchise proliferation. If Johansson, Ali, and Bailey remain central and well-developed, audiences may rally around this fresh era, ushering in a Jurassic reboot that is part gear-grinding adventure, part moral drama, and wholly compelling.

Should ‘Jurassic’ Lean Into Mutation or Maintain Spectacle?

A mutadon in Jurassic World Rebirth

Universal Pictures

Jurassic World Rebirth consciously diverges from the blockbuster spectacle of dinosaurs roaming cities, opting instead to confine them to equatorial islands under tight human control. This approach amplifies both the suspense and ethical tension. As Edwards admitted, the film pushes the horror further than previous installments, leaning into atmosphere and dread, making the film a stylistic gamble that redefines Jurassic as darker, more intimate, and morally fraught.

However, this is exactly what has led to a division among viewers. On the one hand, long-time viewers feel alienated by the film’s narrower scope and the absence of the sprawling set pieces seen in Dominion. Some critics argue that formulaic beats, such as the predictable child-forms-connection-with-dinosaur trope, feel overused and tired. Others, however, have welcomed Rebirth as a creative resurgence. According to People Magazine, “Rebirth is one of the best films in the whole Jurassic franchise.” This polarity highlights a crossroads for the franchise: should it stick to spectacle or dive deeper?

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’s Ending Is a Step in the Right Direction for the Franchise

The smaller-scale ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ is still filled with plenty of terrifying dinosaurs, with one particular mutation stealing the ending.

The optimal path may lie in blending evolution with tradition, maintaining enough dinosaur rampage to satisfy spectacle cravings, while weaving in mutant science and grounded character arcs. A hybrid model could preserve blockbuster thrills while allowing for serialized exploration in spin-offs, such as a global hunt for mutant containment or a political thriller involving biotechnology regulation.

Ultimately, the challenge for Universal is to strike a balance. If they choose to evolve too drastically, they risk alienating legacy fans. However, if they do not evolve enough, they run the risk of stagnation, resulting in extremely disappointing films like Dominion. Rebirth is the perfect foundation for a middle ground, given its spectacle that is refined through science, horror, and moral inquiry, risking just enough to make future installments worth rooting for. Jurassic World Rebirth is now playing in theaters.

There are a handful of awesome secret skaters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, and while a few of them haven’t actually been kept secret if you’ve been paying attention to various announcements leading up to launch, there are still a couple of surprises that are sure to make fans of the franchise happy. If you’re looking to unlock all the secret skaters in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, you’re going to need to put in a bit of work and perfect your shredding skills as much as possible.

Hidden collectibles and secret skaters will be familiar for anyone who played the originals or Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, which featured a handful of secret skaters of its own. There’s no excuse not to play Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 if you were a fan of the previous remake, especially considering it’s going to be available as a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass. All Secret Skaters In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

Secret Skaters Include Bam Margera & Michelangelo

As of this writing, I’ve unlocked a total of six different Secret Skaters, but I’m certain that there’s at least one more that I simply haven’t progressed far enough to unlock or haven’t completed the specific challenge needed for him. The secret skater I haven’t unlocked yet is Jack Black as Officer Dick, or the new British version of him, Constable Richard.

Officer Dick (aka Constable Richard) has already been revealed to be a playable character in the game, and I will update this information as soon as it becomes available.

The other Secret Skaters in THPS 3+4 include Bam Margera, who was also already revealed to be a playable character, as well as Andy Anderson, a Canadian skateboarder famous for his unique style that blends modern and classic techniques. Another unique Secret Skater that was already announced is arguably the coolest Ninja Turtle of them all, Michelangelo, who was also revealed not long ago to be yet another playable skater.

Kelly Osbourne, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson get engaged at Ozzy’s final show

0

Kelly Osbourne’s engagement to Sid Wilson wound up being a family affair.

The Slipknot DJ proposed to the former “Fashion Police” co-host backstage at Ozzy Osbourne’s final show Saturday, and she said yes. But not before papa Ozzy got a few words in edgewise.

“Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world,” Wilson said, holding Kelly‘s hand after family and friends crowded around them and were shushed by mom Sharon Osbourne, according to a video Kelly posted on Instagram.

“F— off, you’re not marrying my daughter!” Ozzy interjected, true to form. A big round of laughter followed before Wilson got back to business.

“Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you,” he told Kelly, reaching into a bag slung across his chest and extracting a small box.

“So in front of your family and all of our friends,” he said as he got down on one knee, “Kelly, will you marry me?”

Kelly‘s jaw dropped as she looked around the room in shock. The two had welcomed a son, Sidney, in November 2022, less than a year after they started dating. Kelly, 40, and Wilson, 48, met more than 20 years ago when Slipknot was part of the Osbourne family’s Ozzfest tour.

She was still in her teens; he was seven years older and better friends at the time with her brother, Jack Osbourne. Kelly said on a podcast in March 2024 that Wilson began liking her — though she had no idea — in 2013, after they ran into each other at his record store on Melrose Avenue. Around 2020, he invited her to a Slipknot show in L.A., and things progressed from there.

“It wasn’t, like, forced. Because we had been friends for so long and known each other for so long, there was a sense of comfortability that I’ve never had with anyone else,” she said on the podcast, via People. Plus, she told her mother, “I was never going to come home with anyone normal.”

But bringing Wilson home now seems like it was a good move. On Saturday, after she nodded yes, he slipped the ring on her left-hand ring finger. Then he and his bride-to-be hugged like there was no tomorrow.

Young Thug Has a Message for Rappers That ‘Rat’: ‘Just Go Gospel”

0

Young Thug continues to have a problem with rappers who cooperate with the law.

On Monday (July 7), the Atlanta rapper took to X to deliver a message for certain rappers that he deems snitches and suggested they make music for a different genre. “If u a rapper and u a rat,” he tweeted. “U gotta just go gospel twin.”

And while there’s no telling who he’s referring to specifically, he commented on Kid Cudi taking the stand in the Diddy trial back in May, tweeting, “Dam cudi a rat lol,” before ultimately deleting the post. Then there’s his relationship with frequent collaborator and labelmate Gunna who decided to take a plea deal early on during the lengthy YSL RICO trial and has subsequently been receiving shade from Thugger.

Back in November 2024, the YSL label boss tweeted and deleted a post asking Gunna to “stop acting” like they’re still cool and added. “I don’t know you my guy.” This was a few months after his father showed Gunna some support by attending one of his shows in Atlanta during his Bittersweet Tour. Then a few months ago in April, during a GQ interview, Thugger was asked what their relationship is currently and gave a lukewarm response, telling the outlet simply, “I don’t know.”

He also commented on an Instagram post in May, “I mean… he said it must end lol,” pointing out that Gunna seemingly covered up his YSL tattoo in reference to a statement prosecutors read in the courtroom after Gunna took the deal. “I recognize, acknowledge and deeply regret that my talent and music indirectly furthered YSL the gang to the detriment of my community,” Gunna said in the statement. “YSL as a gang must end.”

Ken Jennings Exclaims ‘Wow,’ Not Once But Twice!

0

Ken Jennings has been around the block a few times, so it’s not easy to catch the Jeopardy! host off guard. However, during the Monday, July 7 episode of the game show, the quizmaster let out not one, but two surprised “wows” thanks to two very impressive contestants.

Returning champion Scott Riccardi, an engineer from Somerville, New Jersey, came back to defend his title after two scintillating wins, bringing with him a two-day cash total of $68,000. He wrapped up Friday, July 4, game with an impressive $54,000, which “in fact, [was] the second-highest score we’ve seen all season, behind only Will Yancey in Champions Wildcard,” commented Jennings. (When asked what he planned to do with his winnings, the music-loving Riccardi said he would buy a marimba.)

At the start of the game, Riccardi pulled into an early lead when he hit a Daily Double and risked his entire amount of $2,200 on “Watery Responses.” The clue read, “Sort of like ‘Between the Devil and the deep blue sea,’ this phrase with two not-great options means ‘no matter what.’” Riccardi quickly responded, “What is ‘Come hell or high water?’” Jennings was quick to praise the returning champion, “That’s the phrase!” Riccardi’s total was then $4,400, well above the challengers, tutor and bowling alley attendant Ashley Caval Curto’s total of $1,400 and lawyer Vince Carter’s sum of $400.

After the break, Riccardi might have had the most impressive bank, but it was Carter who stole the show with his personal story. He delivered what Jennings called the “perfect Jeopardy! anecdote” when he told a witty account about bowling with an archduke. “He was a classmate when I did my year abroad in Madrid,” said the South Pasadena resident. “One day we were chatting over a beer afterwards, and the question of his last name came up, and he said, ‘Oh, it’s Habsburg.’” Apparently, his grandfather was the last emperor of Austria. Even Jennings was impressed with Carter’s bowling buddy’s royal lineage, “Wow. The Habsburgs.”

But the real kicker? Carter continued that as impressed as he was with his friend’s family ties, his royal friend was equally impressed with his. “And as interested as I was as a history student that he was a Hapbsburg, he was just as interested that my uncle had worked on Knight Rider.”

After the break, director James Gunn made an appearance in the appropriately titled “DC Universe With James Gunn” category, where he shared a story and an answer, “I went online and searched: What’s the dumbest DC character of all time and I found a character who first appeared in Detective Comics #300 named Polka Dot Man. I love him so much that I made him part of my Rogue’s Gallery in this 2021 movie.”

Riccardi answered incorrectly with, “What is Suicide Squad?” When no one else responded, Jennings explained that Riccardi had missed a key word. The correct answer was THE Suicide Squad.

By the end of the first round, Riccardi had pulled ahead with $8,800, while Carter had $4,800 and Ashley had $3,200.

In Double Jeopardy!, after a rapid-fire round in which all the contestants had a chance to prove their mental mettle, Riccardi found the first Daily Double of the round in the category “20th Century Lit” for $2,000. He wagered $5,000, which would have pushed his total from $13,200 to $18,200: “Chapter I of Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged’ begins with this famous four-word question.” Riccardi answered with no problems, “Who is John Galt?” The answer gave him the lead he needed to pull far and ahead of his competitors.

Third-place player Curto found the second Daily Double, which was in the category of “Some Econ” for $2,000. She bet $4,000 of her $8,400 total and a chance for the second place spot with the answer, “Milton Friedman held that this portmanteau that hit the U.S. economy in the 1970s marked the end of ‘naive Keynesianism.’” She got the answer correct, bringing her total to $12,400 and moving up ahead of Carter with the question, “What is Stagflation?”

At the end of Double Jeopardy, just before the contestants entered Final Jeopardy, Carter received a bit of good news. The judges accepted his response of “trade balance” to an earlier clue, allowing his total to increase by $1,600. All three contestants advanced to Final Jeopardy, with Riccardi at $25,000, Carter in second place with $14,000, and Curto in third with $11,600.

The Final Jeopardy category was “Movie Music,” with the clue, “The last two Best Song Oscar winners whose titles were the same name as the movie they were in had this man in the leading role.” Curto went first with a wrong answer of Timothee Chalamet. She wagered $7,400, which dropped her total from $11,600 to $4,200.

Carter wrote, “Who is Daniel Craig?” which was correct, as he starred as James Bond in both Skyfall and No Time to Die. His wager of $11,001 brought his total to $25,001, giving him a one-dollar lead over Riccardi.

The nail-biter ending was then handed over to Riccardi, who needed a correct answer to retain his status as Jeopardy champion. “Who is Daniel Craig?” appeared on his podium, confirming his title was safe for now. With a wager of $3,001, Riccardi’s total rose to $28,001, securing his third consecutive win and a three-day total of $96,001, a number that earned another “Wow” from host Jennings.
