Calvin Kattar failed to get over the hump in a critical fight Saturday when he fell short on the scorecards to Josh Emmett in the UFC on ESPN 37 main event.

Kattar (23-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) lost a split decision to Emmett (18-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) in the featherweight headliner at Moody Center in Austin, Texas, taking the momentum away that he gathered after a spectacular performance against Giga Chikadze earlier this year.
