Talk trash, go to sleep.
For decades, video game players could play competitive games online and talk all of the trash they want. It’s what online gaming is all about. However, in 2025, if someone talks trash to the wrong person, especially a professional fighter, they could get choked unconscious.
And that’s precisely what happened to a poor Fortnite player recently.
Today (Tues., Jan. 28, 2025), former two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega posted a video of him choking out someone who was talking trash to him while playing Fortnite.
“People ask me, ‘Hey, play with me on Fornite, play with me on Fortnite’ Cool, cool. Only problem is you be talking ‘mad you know what,” Ortega said. “So, I had an online homie talking mad smack. The real reason I came out to North Carolina was because he was talking s—t, and we made a bet. I said I would fly over there and choke you out, and here he is.”
I showed up to his damn job,” Ortega added. “I had to wait for him to finish his job. So now, I’m going to choke his ass out. A bet is a bet.”

Let this be a warning. Next time you get killed by a camper or get blown up by a random cross-map grenade, be careful who you’re talking trash to.
