Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol came face-to-face one final time earlier today (Fri., Feb. 21, 2025) ahead of their highly-anticipated Light Heavyweight championship rematch. The action takes place this Sat. (Feb. 22) at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV).
Both combatants made weight (see full results here), making their title bout official. Bivol’s lone defeat came at the hands of Beterbiev four months ago via majority decision, which was the first time Beterbiev had gone the distance.
His previous 20 wins came by way of knockout.
That bout is just one of six world title fights on the docket, as Shakur Stevenson will defend his WBC Lightweight belt against late replacement, Josh Padley, who stepped in to fill the void left behind by Floyd Schofield Jr. (details here). In the revamped co-main event, Joseph Parker will face Martin Bakole after his scheduled title fight against Daniel Dubois went up in flames (see why here).
