Let’s start the night off by taking look back over the three biggest stories of Wednesday, March 25th:
- UFC cuts Abdul Razak Alhassan: Look, I’m not arguing that Alhassan was a world-beater by any means, but he certainly made cards more entertaining. Apparently, fans are sad to see him go!
- Ex-WWE Star Baron Corbin Takes Double Gold At IBJJF Pans: My relative lack of WWE knowledge is perhaps my greatest weakness as an MMAmania writer. Winning two IBJJF golds at purple belt is no joke though, that takes serious skill regardless of the age bracket.
- Jon Jones learned how to do the Trump dance backstage at UFC 309: Alright, I’ll admit that doing the dance immediately after smoking Stipe Miocic was very funny. “Bones” might be a wildcard, but he’s got jokes.
Insomnia
One wonders if PFL is good for $50 million and if PFL would possibly make that much back in the impossible event that Jon Jones was allowed to take them up on it.
Walt Harris ends his UFC run with a 6-9 (1) record. I’ll always remember the Oleinik flying knee though …
Walt Harris has been removed from the UFC roster, per UFC officials.
Harris hasn’t fought since 2021 and he was handed a 4 year suspension after testing positive for steroids that doesn’t end until 2027. Now he’s been removed from the UFC roster

Bo Nickal responded to some vague Penn State steroid accusations and ended up getting grilled.
