The No. 11 ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) strawweight, Loopy Godinez, notched a unanimous decision win over Brazil’s Julia Polastri at UFC Mexico last night (Sat., March 29, 2025) from inside CDMX Arena in Mexico City, Mexico.
The fight turned out to be highly entertaining and one of the more memorable women brawls in recent history. However, something wild happened between rounds two and three.
The broadcast revealed that Godinez had told her corner she needed to poop. From that moment, viewers likely held their breath, wondering if a messy repeat of Justine Kish’s infamous incident was imminent.
Fortunately, disaster was avoided.
A couple of hours later, Godinez took to Instagram to address the odd moment.
“Hello everyone, thank you so much for the support. I felt the energy—it was amazing,” Godinez said. “For everyone who was concerned or worried about me needing to use the bathroom, I did it now, and we’re all good. Thank you so much!”
Facing such a crappy predicament, Godinez handled it with humor and grace.
The Mexican fighter broke her first career two-fight losing streak with this win, solidifying her place in the fiercely competitive 115-pound division.
