Things got pretty heated earlier today (Mon. Mar.. 10, 2025) during the second “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves” pre-fight press conference to promote the upcoming boxing event (video replay here), which is set to go down on May 2 in Times Square in New York City.
Once all fighters in attendance fielded questions from the media, the combatants came face-to-face as is customary. But not everything was business as usual because things got touchy between Teofimo Lopez and Arnold Barboza Jr. as Lopez — who will be putting up his WBO junior welterweight title on the line — slapped his opponent soon after they came nose-to-nose. Of course, Barboza baited the champ into the slap after knocking his hat off his head, first.
Check that out in the video player embedded above. Why they’re both dressed like they’re a part of the Mayans M.C. is beyond me.
The rest of the staredowns were pretty respectful between Ryan Garcia and Rolando Romero, as well as Devin Haney and Jose Carlos Ramirez, who will be the main and co-main events, respectively.
Check those out below:

Haney vs. Ramirez
