“Volk” scored some cool custom shorts.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight kingpin, Alexander Volkanovski, returns to action this weekend (Sat., April 12, 2025) to try and become a two-time champion, taking on the absolutely red-hot, No. 3-ranked division contender, Diego Lopes, in UFC 314’s main event from inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
Just five days before the highly-anticipated title showdown, Volkanovski had his UFC 314 custom shorts revealed, which are undeniably impressive.

There’s no question it’ll feel odd not seeing Volkanovski in his signature black and gold shorts after such a long reign as champion, but these new ones work. The ex-champ opted for a Greek theme, honoring Alexander the Great — one of history’s most legendary military leaders and the clear inspiration for his nickname.
The shorts sport two laurel leaves, a circular shield and his nickname in Greek script.
Volkanovski is the latest fighter to get custom fight shorts. Others include Jon Jones, Ilia Topuria, Max Holloway, Merab Dvalishvili, Bryce Mitchell, Alex Pereira and Paddy Pimblett, among a few special others.
