UFC Atlanta ‘Fight Night’-themed event date revealed for summer 2025

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is returning to “The ATL.”

During UFC Vegas 105’s recent ESPN broadcast, the world’s pre-eminent mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion announced that it will return to State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Ga., on Sat., June 14, 2025, for UFC Atlanta.

No main event has been announced for the summer sizzler.

UFC hasn’t returned to Atlanta since the unforgettable UFC 236 pay-per-view (PPV) back in 2019 when Dustin Poirier vs. Max Holloway battled for the interim Lightweight title, while Israel Adesanya vs. Kelvin Gastelum delivered a “Hall of Fame”-worthy war for the interim Middleweight crown.

Rematch inbound?

Before that, the promotion stopped in Atlanta for UFC 201 back in July 2016, when Tyron Woodley knocked out Robbie Lawler to claim the Welterweight championship in stunning fashion (watch highlights).

Looking at potential main events for a new Atlanta card, Joaquin Buckley feels like a prime candidate. He could square off against big names such as Kamaru Usman and/or Leon Edwards. Alternatively, UFC could re-book Khalil Rountree vs. Jamahal Hill for an explosive showdown.

Realistically, though, the promotion might lean toward Jack Hermansson headlining against another international fighter. That said, I’d be thrilled to see a Georgian like Roman Dolidze take the spotlight … in Georgia (get it?).

Bad jokes aside, a handful of fights have already been confirmed for the event so far:
