Patrice Evra MMA debut put on hold after PFL postpones May 23 event in Paris

Professional Fighters League (PFL) today postponed its mixed martial arts (MMA) event scheduled for Fri., May 23, 2025 at Accor Arena in Paris, France, with ticket holders being issued immediate refunds.

As a result, the highly-anticipated cage fighting debut of French footballer Patrice Evra has been put on hold until further notice.

PFL expects to reschedule the card but did not provide a date, nor did it offer an explanation for the delay in its since-deleted tweet. The promotion was also forced to pull the plug on one of its Paris shows last fall.

The fights being rescheduled include the lightweight showcase bouts pitting Mansour Barnaoui (22-6) against Archie Colgan (11-0) and Patrick Habirora (6-0) opposite Nicolas Di Franco (10-4-1). In addition, multiple bantamweight tournament matchups will have to be rebooked, including Mahio Campanella (7-1) vs. Matiss Zaharovs (7-3) and Dean Garnett (12-3-1) vs. Alexander Luster (9-2).
