Drake bait! Rap mogul wagers $200K on Charles Oliveira upset win at UFC 317: ‘Betting on Brazil’

Whether you believe in Drake’s UFC curse or not, the millionaire rap mogul just threw down $200,000 on a Charles Oliveira upset win over Ilia Topuria at UFC 317.

The two lightweights will meet for the vacant UFC 155-pound title later tonight (Sat., June 28, 2025) LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is one of the biggest matchups of the year, especially since Topuria vacated his UFC featherweight title to make a run at lightweight.

Drake, who is a rare-hit or complete-miss when it comes to wagering big cash on UFC fights, is once again looking for a big payout. The well-known rapper and avid UFC fan is putting his money behind “do Bronx,” who enters UFC 317 as the promotion’s all-time leader in finishes. As a sizeable betting underdog, oddsmakers are almost begging fight fans to put money on Oliveira to upset Topuria.

Drake took the bait.

With a bet of $200,000 on a Oliveira win, Drake has the chance to walk away with a $880,000 payout. It’s a tremendous investment for the superstar rapper and something he ultimately did for Brazil. Check it out below:

“Brazil, I love you and I owe you,” said Drake on social media. “Betting on Brazil.”

What do you think? Is Drake going to cash out big or once again throw up a stinker of a UFC bet?
