Diego Pato, Tainan Dalpra, Adam Wardzinski, Janaina Lebre and Gabi Pessanha all won their respective divisions, achieving the rare Grand Slam distinction for taking gold at the the IBJJF Euros, the IBJJF Pans, the IBJJF Brasileiros, and now, the IBJJF Worlds.

Gabi Pessanha and Erich Munis take double gold, Mayssa Bastos wins 10th world title at 2025 IBJJF Worlds
Outside of her Grand Slam victory, Gabi Pessanha also managed to take double gold medals at the 2025 IBJJF Worlds. Pessanha’s legendary winning BJJ streak ended at the IBJJF Brasileiros, but she ensured that no upset would happen at the world championships by beating Tayane Porfirio twice at both super heavyweight and absolute divisions.
Pessanha’s dominance now gets her to 10 gi world titles, after taking double gold in the last five years. She also won double gold at the No Gi World Championships in her debut last December, so her IBJJF world title collection is now at 12.
In the men’s side of things, Erich Munis won double gold for his sixth world title.
Outside of these double gold winners, Jansen Gomes also shined for his second world title, while BJJ legend Mayssa Bastos won her 10th IBJJF world championship, with six titles in the gi and four in no gi.
