Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker makes his return after breaking his jaw against surging contender Reinier de Ridder in the main event of UFC Abu Dhabi on Sat., July 26, 2025, inside Etihad Arena, Fight Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Today, the promotion released the UFC Abu Dhabi poster on social media. Check it out below:
The poster is simple and good enough, although it looks as if a Predator is targeting both of them.
Whittaker (26-8) has been out of action since having his face broken by Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 308 and will put his No. 5 ranking on the line. Meanwhile, De Ridder (20-2) has been absolutely perfect thus far in his UFC run, finishing all of his opponents, and in his most recent outing, he stopped Bo Nickal (watch highlights).
On top of the Middleweight headliner, Shara Magomedov returns to action against Marc-Andre Barriault in what should be fun for as long as it lasts. Former Bantamweight champion Petr Yan also returns against No. 13-ranked Marcus McGhee in a baffling yet very fun matchup. There are rumors of a Featherweight fight between Movsar Evolev and Aaron Pico also being booked.
