Misfits Boxing is getting into the MMA game, and they’re doing it with controversial jiu jitsu player Dillon Danis.
Danis, who is 2-0 in his MMA career, will fight boxer and social media influencer Warren Spencer at Misfits’ big MF & DAZN X Series 22: Ring of Thrones event on August 30th in Manchester, England. That card is headlined by Darren Till vs. Luke Rockhold and Tony Ferguson vs. Salt Papi.
Those other fights? Boxing. Danis vs. Spencer? It’s being billed as the first ever pro MMA match in Misfits Boxing history, and it will be for the MF MMA Light Heavyweight title. That certainly implies there will be more of these MMA fights in the future under the Misfits banner.

Danis needs no introduction to longtime MMA fans. He’s best known as a training partner / friend of Conor McGregor, and the guy Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage at UFC 229 to attack. His BJJ and MMA career came to an abrupt stop in 2019 due to a horrific knee injury, but he returned in 2023 to box Logan Paul, losing that fight via DQ in the 6th round.
His method of promotion for that fight (leading a mob of internet haters who harassed Paul’s fiancé Nina Agdal) and his attempt to take down and choke Paul (leading to the DQ and a brawl) left Danis so toxic that the UFC refused to even consider signing him. A year and a half later, Danis would land a Misfits Boxing fight against KSI, only for the Influencer to pull out of the fight under dubious circumstances.
This Ring of Thrones fight looks like a make-up bout for Danis. Who is Warren Spencer? He’s 1-1 in Misfits Boxing and 2-2 overall (including exhibition bouts). He is by no means one of the bigger names in Misfits or a major social media influencer. He’s never fought in MMA, but says he’s deep in training now and plans to beat Danis via “spinning back dragon kick.”
MF & DAZN X Series 22: Ring of Thrones goes down on August 30th from the AO Arena in Manchester, England and can be streamed on DAZN.
