Retirement over? Jon Jones announces he has re-entered UFC testing pool: ‘That lasted for about two weeks’

Jon Jones has announced that he’s re-entering the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) testing pool.

On Friday, Jones took to social media to announce that he has put his name back in the UFC drug-testing pool. This comes just two weeks after “Bones” officially retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) and vacated his UFC heavyweight championship belt in the process, which in turn promoted Tom Aspinall to undisputed heavyweight champion.

Check out Jones’ post from Friday below:

“Just re-entered the testing pool, that lasted for about two weeks. Figured we’d keep everyone’s options open,” wrote Jones.

Jones is one of the top trolling fighters in combat sports today and even teased retirement multiple times before finally pulling the plug and stepping away from UFC last month. If the former UFC champion is in fact coming back to the fold it should lead to a long-awaited heavyweight clash between Jones and Aspinall.

In addition, Jones also posted about a potential fight at the White House, which is already being teased for July 4th weekend in 2026. Check it out below:

“Fighting at the White House?” wrote Jones.

This is all well and good, but Jones could be teasing fight fans yet again. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
