Last weekend was a big success for Dana White both inside of the cage and at the casino tables.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) CEO had his hands full last weekend as the promotion staged International Fight Week in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is always the biggest week for White and company as fans from all over the world traveled to “Sin City” to witness UFC 317 firsthand and see Ilia Topuria win the UFC lightweight title with a knockout over Charles Oliveira (replay HERE).
White, who understands good business tactics, also used UFC’s International Fight Week to help promote Power Slap 13, which was held the Friday before UFC 317 at the Fontainebleau hotel in Las Vegas. That event was also a smashing success and attracted some major combat sports stars to enjoy the action up front and center.
After Power Slap 13 concluded, White decided to hit the Fountainbleau casino floor and have some fun with his gambling buddies. White played a few hands and started to win big. The wins kept coming and before he knew it he was up $1 million. One final win put the UFC CEO at $1.2 million and left the entire table celebrating.
Check out the footage below:
“1.2 [million]. I’m at a million now, it’ll be 1.2 if I win this one,” said White prior to his winning hand.
White, who is a well-known gambler, doesn’t always leave the casino table a winner. The UFC CEO once had losses of $1 million and $3 million, but seems to sprinkle in big hits like last weekend at the Fountainbleau hotel.
