Kandi Burruss has been quite vocal about her support for Todd Chrisley. Despite catching some heat from fans, she hasn’t wavered. The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum interviewed Todd on her weekly online series despite many of her online followers slamming her for it.
Kandi has faced backlash before. But despite that, she’s been quite vocal about her support for the Chrisley Knows Best alum and his wife Julie Chrisley. She’s answered fans online previously reminding them that she and Todd were friends long before his legal issues and that didn’t change just because he went to jail.
Todd Chrisley joins Kandi Burruss on her podcast
Todd was the guest for the premiere episode of the seventh season of Kandi’s online show Speak On It. According to her page, this interview is Todd’s first in-depth podcast since being granted a presidential pardon and release.
On the show, Todd opens up about life behind his bar, his alleged affair that fueled the criminal allegations, and his fractured relationship with his eldest daughter. Kandi is asking all the questions that people want to know.
In a preview clip, Kandi asked Todd about the affair he allegedly had with former business partner Mark Braddock, “He implied that y’all had an intimate relationship.”
Todd shared what happened. His lawyer called him and said they needed to talk. He shared what he said to his attorney about his former associates alleged lie. “Let’s be very clear,” Todd shared. “If I f*cked him once, he’d come back for seconds.”
Kandi laughed and Todd added, “He said it was a one-time thing. It was an experiment. You ain’t experimenting on sh*t. I don’t need to experiment with giving head. If I wanted to give head, I’d give head.” Honestly, I cringed writing that entire paragraph.
Fans in the comments weren’t shy about sharing their feelings. “Why would you platform this awful man?” one asked. Another added, “There are far more interesting and compelling people you could’ve interviewed and deserving to be heard.”
Many comments continued along the same vein. Kandi has shown that she doesn’t mind the backlash though. Despite the comments, this will likely not be the last time she supports her friend.
Real Housewives of Atlanta is available to stream on Peacock and on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
