Review: Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar

What we loved: The architecture is a stunning homage to the royal palaces of Rajasthan, providing a truly regal atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the complimentary afternoon tea and cultural activities, along with the exceptionally friendly and sociable staff who went above and beyond to immerse us in local traditions.

What we didn’t love: The hotel’s location is a bit of a trek, situated roughly 35–45 minutes away from the main attractions in Jaipur’s historic Old City.

How to book: This hotel participates in the World of Hyatt program and is a Category 2 property, requiring between 6,500–9,500 points per night. During low season, cash rates often start from $165 CAD per night plus taxes and fees. If you’re booking a cash rate, be sure to get in touch with our travel agency, Prince Collection, for extra perks during your stay.

Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar – About The Property

The Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar is a modern masterpiece built from the ground up to evoke the grandeur of a royal Moghul and Rajasthani palace. Opened in 2022, the property spans five acres and seamlessly blends heritage aesthetics with contemporary luxury, making it a premier destination for international travellers and high-society local events.

The design is defined by meticulous craftsmanship, featuring a main lobby with soaring ceilings and shimmering chandeliers. Every corner reveals intricate details, from marble pillars with hand-carved flower motifs to walls adorned with stunning inlaid stonework and mirrors.

With 245 rooms and suites divided between two distinct wings, the hotel offers diverse experiences for every guest. While the room decor is similar, the Royal Wing is a sanctuary of heritage, while the Tower Wing provides a more streamlined, contemporary environment. Request a room in the Royal Wing if possible.

Stepping outside, the central courtyard continues the palatial aesthetic, framed by native plants and anchored by elegant fountains. With its striking setting, it’s no surprise that the hotel hosts numerous weddings each year from November through February.

Location

The Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar is located in the Mansarovar district, approximately 20 minutes from Jaipur International Airport (JAI). While it offers a tranquil escape, it is located on the outskirts of Jaipur and visiting attractions like the iconic Hawa Mahal or Amer Fort, requires a 35–45 minute commute into the Old City.

The immediate surrounding area is primarily residential and commercial. For transportation, ride-sharing services like Uber and Ola Cabs are readily available and remain the most convenient way to navigate the city if you don’t have your own private transfers arranged.

Booking

I redeemed 9,500 World of Hyatt points per night for this stay, which is peak pricing. At Prince of Travel, we value World of Hyatt points at 2 cents per point (CAD), making this an excellent use of points compared to the cash rate of over $300 for our dates. I charged incidentals to my Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card to earn an extra 4 Hyatt points per dollar on my stay to maximize my earnings.

If you don’t have US credit cards yet, then consider using the Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card, which has no foreign transaction fees.

The property participates in Hyatt Privé. By booking through Prince Collection, you can access exclusive benefits such as a $50$100 USD credit, complimentary breakfast for two in the hotel’s restaurant, a one-category room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of booking, and early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability).

Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar – Check-In Experience

The arrival experience was remarkably seamless. Upon pulling up in our vehicle, staff immediately assisted with our luggage before we proceeded through the standard security screening common to all major hotels in India.

Once inside, we were offered a refreshing welcome drink and water, then invited to have a seat in the posh lobby until the check-in line thinned out. After the formalities were complete, we were gifted a choice of a traditional turban or shawl to further immerse us in the local Rajasthani traditions.

What stood out was how helpful staff were. Everyone gave us a warm welcome and multiple staff were willing to step up to give us a tour around.

As a Globalist member, we received a warm recognition of my status and were presented with the following elite perks:

  • Upgrade: Regency Executive Suite in the Tower Wing
  • Welcome amenity: A fruit bowl and a platter of dessert tarts
  • Late check-out: 4pm late check-out was offered proactively
  • Breakfast: Buffet breakfast at SHROT

Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar – Regency Executive Suite

The Regency Executive Suite in the Tower Wing offers a spacious layout designed for both productivity and relaxation. The room was decorated in neutral-toned upholstered furniture, dark wooden pieces, marble tops, and brass accents.

Upon entering, the foyer opens up to an integrated closet system on one side with robes and slippers, and the bathroom on the other.

The bathroom is clad in dramatic grey-veined marble from floor to ceiling. The space features a large walk-in rain shower and a separate water closet, both elegantly encased in glass. While the single vanity was undeniably spacious and well-appointed, a double vanity would have been a preferred addition to elevate the suite’s convenience.

The living room area is defined by a contemporary aesthetic, featuring comfortable upholstered seating around a marble-topped coffee table.

A dedicated dining nook sits adjacent to the workstation, which boasts a generous desk surface perfect for the business traveller.

The beverage station is a standout feature, housed in a beautiful dark wood cabinet with intricate floral carvings. Above was a smart TV positioned perfectly to enjoy from the sofa.

In the bedroom, the king-sized bed is framed by a sophisticated headboard with a dresser and smart TV across from it. The space is uncluttered, maintaining the suite’s theme of functional luxury.

We asked for a rollaway bed which was complimentary and fit into the living room space without any issues.

Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar – Food and Drink

Morning at the hotel begins at SHROT, where the buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of both local and international dishes. There was an egg and waffle station station, fruits, pastries, breads, cereals, yougurt, salad, soup, sausages, traditional Indian cuisine, smoothies, and more. Dinner at SHROT also did not disappoint.

The atmosphere is further elevated by the presence of local musicians, whose traditional instruments added a unique touch to the meal.

For a more refined evening, The North Club and Pink Bar share a beautifully designed common space that transitions from an intimate, low-lit interior to a stunning outdoor rooftop patio adorned with a few large gazebos.

The North Club specializes in a sophisticated blend of Indian and European cuisine and their chicken curry was a particular standout, as was their expertly crafted cocktail.

On the ground floor, The Royal Bakery and Bar offers a charming café setting perfect for those with a craving for artisanal sweets or a good coffee. Tucked discreetly at the back of the café is a sleek bar, offering a more secluded spot for a drink.

One of the most memorable aspects of the stay is the complimentary daily afternoon tea, where guests can savor a cup of chai alongside classic Indian snacks. They even offer hot chocolate for kids, making it a treat for the whole family.

The hotel also invites local artisans to host short, complimentary workshops, allowing guests to immerse themselves in Rajasthani craft and leave with a handmade souvenir, such as a traditional clay cup or a colourful bangle. Our visit happened to fall upon Uttarayan, the International Kite Festival, where guests were given kites to fly to celebrate the end of winter.

Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar – Other Facilities

The hotel features a massive unheated outdoor pool, the tranquil Mudita Spa, and a well-equipped 24/7 fitness centre. Spa prices were very reasonable and below your standard North American pricing, so I took the opportunity to enjoy a massage, and had a delightful experience.

If you are a Globalist elite member or book into certain room categories, access to their Regency Club is included. In addition to offering a secluded indoor and outdoor space to unwind, complimentary drinks and and a good selection of hors d’oeuvres are served every evening. Every night there would be charcuterie section, fresh fruit, a sandwich or wrap, a couple other hot and cold selections, and dessert. LUNCH??

For those without lounge access, the second floor offers a tranquil library area with plush seating overlooking the central courtyard. The morning experience here is particularly relaxing, as guests can enjoy freshly brewed chai while waking up to the melodic sounds of live flute music.

Conclusion

The Hyatt Regency Jaipur Mansarovar represents an outstanding value proposition for those seeking a regal experience at an approachable price point, whether redeeming World of Hyatt points or paying cash.

While the location requires a bit of extra travel to reach the Old City, the hotel’s palatial design and deeply immersive cultural programming make it a destination in its own right for any luxury traveller.
