HomeTRAVELEarn D$10 on Every Sixt Car Rental

Earn D$10 on Every Sixt Car Rental

GHA Discovery has added Sixt as an official car rental partner, and what caught my eye is the earning component: D$10 in Discovery Dollars for every eligible rental, plus up to 15% off and a status match to Sixt’s loyalty tiers.

The partnership launched on March 4, 2026 and runs through December 31, 2027, so there’s a long runway to take advantage.

If you’re already renting cars on your trips, this is a low-effort way to pad your D$ balance without changing anything about how you travel.

Book with Sixt via GHA Discovery

How the D$10 Earning Works

The deal is straightforward. Every time you complete an eligible short-term car rental with Sixt (28 consecutive days or less), you’ll receive D$10 credited to your GHA Discovery account.

That’s a flat reward regardless of what you spend or which GHA Discovery tier you hold.

Since Discovery Dollars are pegged at D$1 = $1 USD, each rental effectively puts $10 USD toward a future hotel stay, spa visit, or dining experience at any GHA property.

The D$10 will be credited within 10 working days of Sixt providing your member details to GHA, and is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.

How to Book and Qualify

There are a few steps to make sure your rental actually counts:

  • Book through the GHA Discovery partner page: this is the dedicated Sixt landing page for GHA members
  • Enter your GHA Discovery membership number: you’ll be prompted during the booking process
  • Select “SIXT – stay flexible” at checkout: this is the key step – prepaid rates don’t qualify
  • Complete your rental and return the vehicle: the D$10 is credited after the rental is finished

Keep in mind that several rate types are excluded from earning, including prepaid rates, long-term rentals, internet specials, seasonal rates, employee rates, and certain corporate rates. If you’re booking through the partner page and selecting “Stay Flexible,” you should be fine.

It’s also worth noting that renting multiple vehicles at the same location on consecutive days counts as a single rental. Multiple bookings for the same dates won’t earn separate D$10 rewards either.

Sixt Status Match for GHA Members

One of the more useful parts of this partnership is the status match between GHA Discovery and Sixt.

Here’s how the tiers line up:

  • GHA Silver or Gold → Sixt Gold Card: up to 10% off, preferred mobility up to 48 hours before pickup, free additional driver on U.S. bookings, and a birthday surprise
  • GHA Platinum or Titanium → Sixt Platinum Card: up to 15% off, free upgrades where available, dedicated counter and parking, free additional driver on U.S. bookings, and a birthday surprise

The status match isn’t automatic – you’ll need to apply through the registration links on the Sixt partner page. There’s a separate form for Gold and Platinum.

For GHA Titanium members, the Sixt Platinum match is a nice add-on. Free upgrades and a private check-in counter can save real time at busy airport locations, especially in Europe where Sixt has a massive presence.

What Are Discovery Dollars (D$)?

If you’re new to the program, Discovery Dollars are GHA’s cash-equivalent rewards currency, pegged 1:1 to the US dollar. You can use them toward room charges, dining, spa treatments, and other eligible expenses at any GHA property.

There are no blackout dates, no dynamic pricing, and no complicated award charts. It’s one of the more straightforward loyalty currencies out there.

The D$ earned through Sixt rentals work the same way as D$ earned through hotel stays, with one caveat: they expire 12 months from the date they’re issued, so you’ll want to have a GHA stay planned within that window.

My Take: A Nice Bonus, Not a Game-Changer

Here is what this comes down to: D$10 per rental isn’t going to reshape anyone’s travel strategy. It’s modest.

That said, it’s free value for something you’re likely already doing. Rent a car five or six times over the next year and that’s D$50–60 – enough to cover a meal or a small spa credit at an Anantara, Avani, or Pan Pacific property.

The real appeal is in the stacking. Combine the D$10 per rental with GHA Discovery’s regular D$ promotions, the up to 15% discount on the rental itself, and the Sixt status match perks, and the partnership starts to pull its weight.

Sixt operates in over 105 countries with more than 2,000 locations, so the global reach is solid. Whether you’re picking up a car in Lisbon, Bangkok, or Los Angeles, the earning opportunity is there.

Conclusion

GHA Discovery’s Sixt partnership gives members a simple way to earn D$10 on every eligible car rental, along with up to 15% off and a status match. The offer runs through December 31, 2027.

If you’re a GHA Discovery member with travel plans that involve a rental car, bookmark the Sixt partner page and remember to select “Stay Flexible” at checkout.
