The Fairly OddParents creator Butch Hartman has finally answered a 21-year-old Timmy Turner question.
In a new video from Hartman, the creator of The Fairly OddParents confirmed who Timmy Turner marries in the future of the series. There has been rampant speculation across every season of The Fairly Oddparents who Timmy, the protagonist of the original show, ends up marrying in the future. The series has teased some details before, such as confirming Timmy has children named Tommy and Tammy in a flash-forward during the season 4 finale, “Channel Chasers.”
Now, in a video directly from Butch Hartman, the creator of The Fairly Oddparents has revealed who Timmy ends up marrying in the future. The video proposes three popular, possible candidates for who Timmy ends up with: Chloe Carmichael, Timmy’s neighbor in season 10 who he shares his fairies with; Trixie Tang, a popular girl who Timmy has a crush on; and Tootie, Vicky’s younger sister who as a crush on Timmy. As the video plays out, Hartman rules out Chloe and Trixie, ultimately revealing Timmy marries Tootie in the future.

The mystery of who Timmy Turner marries was, in fact, introduced during “Channel Chasers.” While the episode ended up being the season 4 finale, with The Fairly OddParents continuing far beyond this point in the show, it also served somewhat as a de facto series finale by featuring a flash-forward 20 years later. At 30 years old, Timmy has two children, but the mother of said kids is never revealed. However, one has glasses, leading to speculation he will end up marrying Tootie.
Ultimately, Hartman confirmed this to be the case. It’s not an unsurprising turn of events, given how much the series has hinted that it would happen. Tootie always had a crush on Timmy that was never reciprocated, often to an absurdly comedic degree. But, even so, she would always defend him during times when he needed someone on his side. The show made it clear that she had enough of a crush on him to always be by his side, no matter the rejection.
Although the animated series never confirmed the pair’s relationship, the live-action movies starring Drake Bell as Timmy and Daniella Monet as Tootie was quite different. The Fairly OddParents movie trilogy saw the pair get into a relationship years after the events of the main series, with the third film implying the two are now married. Although the movies have dubious canon to the original show, it still indicated a high chance Timmy and Tootie was the intended pairing for the series by the end.
Now that it’s been confirmed that Timmy and Tootie end up married by the end of The Fairly OddParents, it gives the show’s far-flung conclusion proper context. It also means the vision for the live-action movies had some elements of the intention for the cartoon in it, considering the pair are a couple during the events of the films. It’s a fitting revelation that makes sense for the show, and delivers a rather impactful answer to the decades-long mystery.
