Donald Trump seems to have commemorated his decision to re-paint the Lincoln Memorial’s Reflecting Pool by throwing shade at his presidential predecessors, Barack Obama and Joe Biden. The Republican Party leader took to social media to slander his Democratic opponents by sharing a controversial AI-generated image of the duo, as well as former House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi.

On May 12, the POTUS mocked two former Democratic Presidents at the same time when he posted an artificially rendered picture of them submerged in a sewage-filled Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
The said Truth Social post saw Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi bathing from neck to toe in the reflecting pool that was full of waste. Donald Trump also included a caption on the image to hit his point home, writing, “Dumacrats Love Sewage.”
In a later update, Trump verbally blasted Obama and Biden by highlighting their alleged failure in cleaning the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. “Obama and Biden, they say, spent over 100 Million Dollars, with years under construction, and it never worked — It leaked like a sieve, looked terrible, was closed most of the time, and was a complete disaster. They ultimately gave up on the project, declaring that it was impossible to fix,” he wrote before lauding himself, as well as the Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, for finally getting the job done.
In addition to Obama and Joe Biden, Trump also took a jab at New York Times journalist David A. Fahrenthold. This was after the latter claimed the President had spent $13.1 million on the project, rather than the $1.8 million promised.
“This is not just a paint job, like lowlife ‘reporter,’” Fahrenthold, of the NYT, so inaccurately and maliciously stated, it is a deeply complicated work of smart and beautiful construction. It won’t leak, it will shine, and be the pride of Washington D.C. for decades to come,” the businessman-turned-politician wrote in yet another post.
Notably, Donald Trump’s outburst comes just days after he called Barack Obama “weak and stupid,” in the wake of yet another round of failed peace negotiations with Iran.
