Motor City Comic Con 2026: The Movie, TV, Comics, And Wrestling Panels You Can’t Miss

The Motor City Comic Con is held every year in Novi, Michigan. As with many Comic Cons held around the world, the event is meant to serve as a celebration of pop art. Primarily a comics convention, the event has evolved in the thirty-plus years it’s run in Michigan to also focus on film, television, gaming, anime, wrestling, sci-fi, and all sorts of genre fare.

This year, Motor City Comic Con has a stacked schedule, with plenty of panels celebrating many of the biggest films, shows, and fandoms out there. ScreenRant will be in Michigan for the event, reporting on the biggest reveals from panels and chatting it up with fans about what gets them excited about their favorite storytellers.

ScreenRant is even set to be hosting a few panels during the event, similar to last year, chatting with legends of the entertainment industry and major blockbuster stars about what’s come before, what drives them now, and what they have coming down the pipeline. Here are the biggest panels to check out at Motor City Comic Con this weekend in Michigan, including ones moderated by ScreenRant’s Liam Crowley.

Members of the ScreenRant team will be in attendance at Motor City Comic Con, with reporter Liam Crowley set to moderate several panels for the event. Across all three days of the Motor City Comic Con, audience members can find Liam speaking with some of the biggest stars at the event.

On Friday, May 15th, Liam will be moderating two panels in the Platinum room. New Zealand actor and stuntman Sala Baker, best known as Sauron in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, will be there at 3:00 PM to discuss his appearances in several high-profile franchises. At 4:30 PM, animation and video game fans will get a treat when Nolan North takes the stage to chat about his biggest voice-over roles.

On Saturday, May 16th, Liam teams up with indie comics creator Sean Peacock to take fans through the process of creating their own comic in the All Sorrows panel. That event will be held at 11:00 AM in Legacy I. After that, comics creators Rick Leonardi and Sam De La Rosa will come out on stage at 12:30 PM in Legacy I to discuss their own careers.

Wrestling fans will want to make sure they’re in Legacy V-VIII at 3:00 on Saturday, as that’s when Liam will be talking with Kane. The professional wrestler turned politician has one of the most unique life stories of anyone attending the con, making his appearance and conversation about his career a must-see.

Liam will be in Platinum again at 4:30 PM with voice actors Zach Aguilar and Abby Trott to chat about their biggest characters. Wrestling fans get more fun on Sunday, May 17th, when Liam sits down with legendary wrestling announcers Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross at 11:00 AM in Platinum, as well as with Headlocked Comics creative Michael Kingston at 2:30 in Legacy I.

Last but not least is the panel in Legacy V-VIII at 12:30 PM on Sunday, where he’ll be sitting down with Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning stars Hayley Atwell and Esai Moreles to discuss blockbuster filmmaking and the challenges that come with it. Especially for movie fans, this is one of the most exciting panels being held at Motor City Comic Con this year.

While ScreenRant is going to be primarily focused on Liam’s panels, there are plenty of other high-profile panels throughout the weekend worth checking out. On Friday in Legacy V-VIII, Mortal Kombat II star Jessica McNamee will be on hand to discuss her action movie experience, including her most recent blockbuster hit.

Game of Thrones fans have two panels they can’t afford to miss during Motor City Comic Con. On Saturday, Kit Harington will be in the Diamond Center at 2:00 PM to discuss his work as Jon Snow. After that, Lena Headey will be in Legacy V-VIII on Sunday at 2:00 PM to delve into her experiences playing Cersei Lannister.

Comedy fans can come out to Legacy V-Viii at 4:30 PM on Saturday to see Patrick Warburton, who has been killing in comedies (animated and live-action alike) for decades now. Comics fans should also swing by Cornerstone IV on Saturday at 5:30 PM for an extended conversation with Scott Snyder and Stephanie Phillips.

Superhero fans get plenty of great stuff on Saturday. Ahead of The Boys series finale, Karl Urban, Laz Alonso, and Shawn Ashmore will be in Diamond at 3:30 PM. Saturday night at 7:30 PM will also be when Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox will take the stage for a premium panel. Given how Daredevil: Born Again season 2 ended with a massive cliffhanger, MCU fans are going to want to hear what he has to say.

On Sunday, Star Wars fans will get a treat when John Boyega and Billie Lourd take the Diamond Ballroom stage at 11:30 AM to talk about the sequel trilogy. Meanwhile, actress Selma Blair will be in Platinum at 12:30 PM to highlight some of her most iconic roles, while Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch reunite at 1:00 PM in the Diamond Ballroom to talk about the show’s legacy.

That’s all on top of other big panels featuring legendary stars like William Shatner or iconic comics creators like Simon Bisley. There are also fan events, gaming tournaments, cosplay contests, and the always fantastic Artist Alley to peruse while you’re at the con. If you’re coming to Motor City Comic Con, and you’re any kind of pop culture fan, you’ll find plenty to do.
