After keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the lineup of the studio’s 15th Anniversary Event, MAPPA finally dropped a new trailer for Chainsaw Man’s highly anticipated International Assassins Arc. And judging by the footage shown so far, the anime is about to enter its wildest phase yet. The arc has long been a fan favorite among manga readers, not just because of its nonstop action, but because of how quickly everything spirals out of control.
After the chaos surrounding Reze, Denji can no longer stay hidden. The existence of the Chainsaw Devil is now known far beyond Japan, and that news attracts some very dangerous attention. Assassins from around the world begin making their way to Tokyo, each with their own motives, but all chasing the same prize: Denji’s heart.
What follows is one of the most intense stretches in the entire series. New enemies appear one after another, alliances become increasingly fragile, and the battles only grow more unpredictable as the story moves forward. If the latest footage is anything to go by, MAPPA is fully aware of how important this Chainsaw Man arc is to fans and seems ready to give it the adaptation it deserves.
